Hi KVS,
For some reason my Enhanced Seat Map functionality is not working. Have posted on a forum before asking people for a seat map for a particular flight like BA7311 / in PE for 10 Aug 2012. My basic seat map works but the enhanced one does not - the error is below: Unable to find a matching flight, or the flight is not currently available for sale in the requested cabin class [2]. Routing Rules
KVS-
I posted this issue a little over a week ago and it seems to still be abound. I cannot view routing rules for various fares, across Sabre, Galileo, or ATP method(s). I'm able to pull up fare basis, prices, etc., however routing rules constantly result in 'NO FARE IN SYSTEM'. I've spot checked different airlines, fare buckets, etc. to see if its a specific issue - alas, no. I'm sitting on a Diamond membership, so I know I'm not insufficient in privileges. Is there something I'm not doing correctly? Thanks! |
I can't see any * Alliance awards. I'm getting
Data Source Error[I]: ANA |
Hello,
So I have just acquired the KVS Tool Diamond membership and I've been playing around with it a little bit in order to get a grip of things... I have encountered a few problems and a question regarding fares. I am a macbook user so I need to run the program through 'Crossover' - When trying to search for fares with the Sabre tool, it gives me an error message (Galileo / ATP work fine) - When trying to check for upgrade availability for UACO it gives me an error message saying UA MP settings are not set correctly ?? - When trying to search for *A award availability via SNT it also gives me an error message ("Engine Error [SF1-BKM]") Here again, the ITA tool works fine. Now I have a question regarding fares. I need to fly HKG-EWR(NYC) in late february. Im looking into getting the direct shuttle offered by UACO. KVS tool gives me a fare at: [KVS Availability Tool 6.9.2/Diamond - ATP: Fares/FC/US] Code:
HKG Hong Kong Intl HK [VHHH]Now KLE0ZEC4 gives me: 1,078.40 USD on united and continental websites. In the fare rules its also specified that this offer is valid until the 31.January - which probably means that I would have to book it by then to ensure that low fare? thanks for helping. |

As per the reply in Post #4507, there is currently an issue with the Routing Rules Engine for certain Fares. If there are any particular one(s) you are interested in, please feel free to PM their details (city pair/carrier/Fare Basis) and we will look them up for you.
Thanks again for all you do for us! |
I have been checking BA award availability and I am curious because sometimes it will let me check flights 355 days out, but often I will get an error message ("Please try using a different POS setting for this query."). Am I getting lucky when it will let me check +355, or is it a bug that it won't let me always check +355?
Now this is really obscure (and might belong on the BAEC board) but I am a little curious about how the +355 (or +354) rules work across time zones. Are the tickets released by BA at midnight GMT for anyone to book, or do people only have access to book whatever is available when the new day starts in their time zone (I am in the US, if you couldn't guess). Last, I use KVS on both a PC and a mac (via crossover), but the mac has not been able to startup since the new version came out. I assume I have to uninstall and reinstall the new version? |

How do I move beyond "Current Registration Code Has Expired"?
I'm current with a new registration (new member) as of a few days ago. I'm ready to do my homework and book a flight, but can't gain access to use the KVS tool.
Quick fix for me? Thanks. |

I have used KVS in the past, but it seems like I can't get the grip of it. I just searched for a DL award flight from JFK to NRT for 3 ppl on August 10th. KVS says "CX+" is available. From the legend I found in the FAQ's it should be mean there is J class available at any award level and enough seats. If I got to DL.com and try to look for this flight it shows up as medium award level. What exactly am I doing wrong or not understanding?
|
I had trouble to redownload KVS on a new work laptop which has 64 bit windows 7.0... It was trying to create a folder in windows 32..

http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Method_WSpan_Awards_DLSkyTeam In this case, 110K SM corresponds to a Medium Level C Class Award. The next version of the KVS Tool will be able to decode this automatically for most routes and show xS/xM/xA instead of xX. [KVS Availability Tool 6.9.3/Diamond - WSpan: Awards/DL-SkyTeam] Code:

No problem installing on two different Win 7 64 bit laptops here. Possibly a permission issue? Not sure if it needed to be installed as an admin on my work laptop.

Data Source Error [R]: "3203"
My tool was working on Friday, but today, when i try to look at Amadeus: Awards/OneWorld award availability I get the 3203 error.
I also get errors Data Source Error [RW-1] with Awards/JL-OneWorld. These are both queries I had saved and worked on Friday. I upgraded to 6.9.3/Diamond and am still having problems. Any idea what the issue is? |
I've the diamond version and right now nothing is working in the tool! (Also mobile companion doesn't work) Always errors. (Version 6.9.3). Didn't have problems before...
Can you help me? |

There was a systemwide Amadeus problem today. I don't think it's a specific KVS issue. See this thread for example. There are probably others on FT as well as it's affected more than just BA.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/british-airways-executive-club/1308420-all-bookings-disappeared-ba-com.html http://www.Telegraph.co.uk/travel/tr...ter-crash.html All systems should now be working normally. For access to the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] Method, please upgrade to KVS Tool V6.9.4. |

Indeed, there was a major Amadeus system outage earlier on today, which lasted approximately 3 hours:
http://www.Telegraph.co.uk/travel/tr...ter-crash.html All systems should now be working normally. I was trying to book an LH ticket for tonight and I couldn't! Really ridiculous that there aren't any backup systems....I really needed to fly... |
Edit- Worked it out

Just wanted to say that this tool has been very helpful so far. I am looking for a U class reward on CX next november and the same on a KA flight. I signed up as a diamond member and this tool has been a lot of fun and helpful. Still waiting for CX to release the inventory though!
Thanks for making this tool available! Glad you're enjoying the CX Award Availability functionality and best of luck in finding your desired award. |

UA saver vs. standard award in KVS
Hello, I searched for this in the thread with no luck. With UA, is there a way to see which award seats are saver and which are standard? For example, XY1 (economy award)...is it a saver or standard? Thank you.

Error RD-3
Hi,
I solved it by re-installing KVS but now it's suddenly back: When checking M&M-Awards KVS-Tool returns: Data source error [RD-3]: "Your Flight" System: Windows7 64bit (but I also tried on VMachine Win-XP and native XP) What I tried so far: - changing cookies settings - uninstall/re-install - re-register *.OCX Any suggestions? |
I can't search Skyteam awards anymore since last nights upgrade. It says that the KVS tool might not be up to date.

Please use the [Awards/DL-SkyTeam] Method in the meantime and monitor the announcements on the KVS Tool Homepage. |

Noob at KVS TOOL. I am trying to learn how to do everything but I think I might be missing some steps.
I am looking for Cheapest fares NYC-FCO or Milan. I chose the EI fare for search. [KVS Availability Tool 6.9.4/Diamond - Sabre: Fares/DotRes/US] Code:
JFK New York John F Kennedy Intl NY US [KJFK]Then it looks like there are W4 in the availabilty search. In theory there should be a way to check if I can buy these right? [KVS Availability Tool 6.9.4/Diamond - Sabre: Availability/FS/US] Code:
FCO Rome Fiumicino IT [LIRF]When I use the Find Flights using ITA option nothing comes back. Has ITA changed the language of their search engine. Or does that mean this flight is not available? Because I can do a Kayak.com search and find fares that do not appear on ITA. I just want to know if there are any sites that KVS TOOL knows can search for this fare class on this flight. Thanks. Even if it is not with EI can I book any of those cheaper fares? |
