Routing Rules

Hello again,

Fare search UA Feb 8 o/w eco. Under both codes SATG7GS and WAT7GS when I attempt to view routing rules I get "No Fare In System". With both Sabre and Galileo. Any resolution to this? Thanks much again.

These appear to be recently-loaded Fares, so there may be a bit of a delay, before the Routing Rules engine is able to 'see' them...

However, their Routing Rules are likely to be the same as for the other UA S/W-class Fares for that city pair:

Searching VA Awards

I'm a new user, trying Diamond level for 2 months (although the GUI tells me I have only two days left - what's up with that?)

Can I search VA inventory? And, if so, how?

Thanks - JD

What's the status on a Mac version? I would renew only if a native Mac version comes out. Aren't Macs gaining more and more market share?

I still find there are quite a few application that don't run on my mac so I use parallels virtualisation software for all of them including KVS. Works a treat. There's VMware as well and a couple others.

Just joined, looks great so far. Of course the test will be when I try to book 5 award seats later this year.;) Am spending my time playing around with the options so when I hit 330 days I can give AA a call.

JIMCHI Jan 6, 2012 11:09 am

It is not consistently 330 days when award availability is loaded. For example, AA domestic flights are loaded today for 331 days out. But JFK-LHR is loaded only 321 days out. International seems to vary by route.

NWR Jan 6, 2012 11:21 am

When will the [Fares/TVN] method resume?

I looked through the forum and website but could not find any info regarding when it will be available again. Thank you.

BTW Happy New Year to you too! (I intended to respond to your message on the application but I clicked wrong and the opportunity vanished forever :)

Right.

But it is my understanding that CX is 330 days, if using AA miles. (Am I right on this?)

JIMCHI Jan 6, 2012 1:34 pm

Once AA has loaded any of its own schedules, they should be able to book award space on another carrier, if that carrier has released its space. As of today, CX is showing award inventory well past 331 days. AA has opened up its schedules for 331 days (through December 2, 2012) so award space for CX is possibly available for that date also.

A separate native Mac version is not currently feasible. However, it is also unnecessary -- as golfmad had mentioned, many KVS Tool users successfully run it on their favourite Mac systems, using one of the solutions, listed at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Mac

Welcome to the KVS Tool! The 2 days is based on your Temporary Registration Code. Once your Permanent Credentials are issued, this will be adjusted accordingly.

Please see http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes for a list of airlines, for which Award Availability is supported in the KVS Tool. At the moment, VA isn't one of them.

The entire rest of the program works great, only that one feature gives me errors. Any thoughts?

The [ITA Query Builder] feature is currently unavailable, as the ITA Matrix1 engine has, sadly, been decommissioned earlier on this month:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/milea...tware-com.html

We are looking into alternative solutions and an update will be posted on the KVS Tool Homepage when it becomes available.

The new [ITA Query Builder] for ITA Matrix 2 is now available in KVS Tool V6.9.0.

Well, that's what I have been doing, too, but it seems kind of silly to me to basically run a different operating system just for one program - I don't need Windows for anything else than the KVS Tool.

There are solutions available that do not require a separate OS -- the KVS Tool simply appears just like any other App right on the Mac desktop:

looking at CX889 for April 6th, and when i bring up the seat map for cattle rows are missing, extra isles are added. I assume this is a problem with the system that KVS is pulling the data from?

Is this a normal issues? How long does it normally take them to resolve?
Or does this mean they are changing something like the plane type?

Thanks for your feedback.

The Enhanced Seat Map shows the correct layout for 744. Rows 39-43 do not exist on that A/C type.

Two newbie questions

Hi, I just downloaded and I'm excited to take this for a spin. Two questions:

I can search for fares domestically and for some less traveled international destinations using ATP, but most often it times out with international requests, after either [2W] or [3W] appears in the status bar. I'm thinking this is just a matter of extending the time-out timer, is there a way?

I'm trying the "My Bookings" tool with AA. Seems like none of the sources give me any interesting information. I know this is not exactly the top feature of the program, but I'm trying everything :) Hints?

Thanks

How Long Does it take to Get a Registration Code?

Downloaded the KVS Tool last night, and made my contribution. Never received my temporary nor permanent registration code. Still waiting more than 24 hours later.:(

Temporary Registration Codes are issued instantly, but, as per your follow-up e-mail, you have originally entered an incorrect e-mail address, which prevented its delivery.

Please check your e-mail inbox for your Permanent Registration Credentials, which have now been issued as well.

Looking for AA p-class fares

Hi, I'm looking for P class (instant upgrade) fares using the Fares tab in 6.9.1. I can't seem to find any P class fares at all? Currently searching for TPA->IAH 30th April to 2nd May. They are on the AA site and they show up on KVS in availability but not in the fares section.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
