For looking up Fares on the same day, you should use the [Fares/PSH] Method. You would also need to know your Fare Basis Code (e.g. from your E-Ticket Receipt).

Hi KVS,

Using the KVS Tool under CrossOver for Mac, the Awards/SkyTeam option keeps timing out while waiting for the results. Do you know how to fix this?

Trying to find OneWorld award availability - business class or higher - from NYC (JFK or EWR) to Paris (ORY or CDG). I thought I did this correctly, but apparently not.

Just contributed diamond for this...am trying to make heads or tails out of it. I'm usually fairly good at picking these things up, but having a bit of trouble.

Maybe someone can help me through an example of what I should be doing:

You would need to check Award Availability for each leg separately:
Just goto the [Awards/Upgrades] Tab, select 3 Seats, and search for SFO-NRT, NRT-HKG, HKG-SFO.

No - I used BA method, since those are my creds. Will enroll in JA and try with JA.

I think I'm getting the hang of this awesome tool. I just upgraded to Diamond, but I'm having some trouble.

It depends on your preferences:

[Awards/BA-OneWorld] can check Award Availability across all OneWorld carriers at once, but it won't display flights that have no Award Availability whatsoever.

For [Awards/JL-OneWorld], you have to select a specific carrier, but it will display the lack of Award Availability explicitly.

Am I doing this wrong

So I've been playing with the tool for a few weeks now and I'm still facing the same issue.

I'll give an actual example so maybe KVS can replicate and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Method = ATP / Fares

DXB - SIN
7 Mar 2013
R/T
All Airlines
Currency GBP

This shows a QR flight, for 165 GBP, booking in Fare Class V (I think??)

Switch to the availability tab, method Galileo

DXB - SIN
All Airlines
Class = V

Brings up the QR flight (QR115) and tells me that the routing is DXB - DOH - SIN
Tells me that availability in V is 9

Back to Fares tab, right click on the QR flight and find fares and the Matrix search always comes back with no fares.

Now I've done this a few dozen times with different airlines, dates, routes, etc and always no fares found.

What am I doing wrong please?

Ah... oops, must confess I missed that!
So I've spent the last 6 hours playing with KVS and trying to actually generate an available flight!

No luck, I always get no flights available.

Here's another example, hopefully actually valid

searching from LHR to DXB return on BA metal
outbound on Aug 15th, ATP Fares/ FC search shows Q class fares (QRC1UK) the second of those fares listed shows restrictions that it must be booked between Aug 8th and Aug 21st for travel from Aug 8th to Oct 30th
A Galileo availability search shows Q9 across the board.

Asking KVS to find a flight using this fare results in another failure.

I've read all the fare rules and I can find no reason why this fare shouldn't be available.

I've tried similar things with a number of different airlines and routes and always the same result...... is it me?? lol

last night I bought your diamond tool, and it looks really great. However I do have som questions regarding the accuracay.

I have been looking for an award F from fra-iad, and when I log in to M&M webpage it shows no availbility on the 10 sept, but with your tool it shows OK on 2 pax.

Which is the correct availability?

another thing, how could I se what seats are bookable with SAS points? I have just been on the phone with SAS, and after spending 8hrs with the KVS tool to plan my trip, SAS did not have any availibility on those flights.

also, I added my ANA info, but the systems doesnt let me search with the 7 days. I just get a varning notice saying "ANA"

Are you using CrossOver for Mac?

My KVS is consistently returning "no matching flights" to my searches. I reinstalled my KVS software, I have cleared internet cache and cookies and trolled back over past forum posts, and FAQ, but must be missing something obvious. Using IE9 on Win 7 PC.

What am I missing please?

However, keep in mind that M&M website cannot handle mixed-cabin awards and will only show F Award Availability if it exists on both the outbound and return dates you enter. If F Award Availability is only available on the departure date, then it will not show it at all.

So with the KVS tool I will be able to book and F award with my SAS points, since there is 1 availble F class in award and IF I find a date in your system that could take me home from anorher location?

Another question, if there are 7F availble for purchase, how come there are noon with points?

Are the airlines releasing more Award seats as closer to departure gate you get?

Apparently LH dont release their F award seats untill 14 days in advance, anyway to get around this?
