I reported this earlier, but removed the post when it appeared again. Now, it seemed to have happened again, and have been happening for about 3 days now.
Sabre ITN doesn't seem to report QF awards now. |

DL flies JFK-ACC, but neither fare method will show a fare for this flight on account that it is "travel restricted" per the error message. I do not understand the "restriction" or security reason for not listing the air fare for a flight that obviously exists on a major carrier.

In checking with another site, like expertflyer, they show all the classes. As many as 25 different ones on flights where they offer them. Doesn't look like a QF issue.

Almost miraculously, the old ITN UA engine started working again earlier on today ... I just released a new version. |
Just now downloaded and installed. Excellent news that UA award came back!
But my KVS Availability Tool is saying the version 2.7.3. Am I too early??? |
Hey there,
I've been having a problem getting a list of fares using Sabre: Fares/DotRes for some time. Some destinatios work, but many don't, parciularly those from Australia to Europe. When I run MEL-LON or MEL-CPH or SYD-LON/CPH I get a message Datasource error: No flights available, please change your preferences and try again There are countless fares MEL/SYD to LON so I can't see who the tool is unable to locate any fares for this route. Any ideas? Cheers, Kael |

Hello KVS.
If I remember correctly (but I may be wrong, after a couple of sleepless nights!), up to a few releases ago, right-clicking on a segment in Apollo would also display the relevant flight duration at the bottom of the so-called "context menu". It was very immediate, practical and convenient, because I didn't have to open an external window in my browser just to read the flight duration in E-Travel. Now (2.7.3), when I right-click on a segment, I see the equipment and distance, but the flight duration no longer appears, and I have to open E-Travel to read that info. If you could re-add the flight duration for each segment in a future release of the tool, I would very much appreciate it. If that feature never existed, instead, and I'm just hallucinating because I'm too tired, please disregard this message! Thanks for your attention, and thanks for this great, indispensable tool. Regards |

However, at the moment, only the [Amadeus: Timetable] engine reports flight duration. [Apollo: ITN] & [WSpan: ITN] Methods report distance, and the [Sabre: ITN] method reports info on meals. |

Wow I can't keep up... Still on 2.7.1, downloaded barely days ago. How about a more robust update system such as a 'would you like to upgrade' (I'm sure we all would ;)) or an email to those who you hold details for?
Anyway, I am already looking into this issue, and if anyone else has any comments or suggestions, as to the way(s) in which they would like to be notified, when a new version/update is available for download, please let me know. Here are some possible options:

Problems displaying CoS in AA - Apollo ITN
Dear KVS,
I am a lite user using version 2.7.3. - Using Apollo ITN I am having two types of problems with the display of Class of Services in AA: 1- It does not reflect availability for the direct flights: All "0" (i.e.: JFK-EZE or viceversa or JFK-GRU & Viceversa, same other destinations even JFK-LAX, and this apply for any day -- The screen shows: F0 C0 Y0 B0 M0 V0 K0 Q0 However, the flights with connections show correct availability. And if I go to AA, there is good availability in any class of service for the direct flight too. The strange thing is that the above "direct" flights with problems when they are used in a connection with other flights (ie: EZE-LAX connecting in JFK through the direct EZE-JFK) will show the availability with no problem-- therefore, it seems that the problem is displaying Availability on any class of service when the display is only one line for one direct flight without any connection - For example: Try March 19: 1- EZE-JFK in AA, and you will find: AA 956 EZE 20:35 JFK 06:05 +1 777 0 F0 C0 Y0 B0 M0 V0 K0 Q0 2- EZE-LAX in AA, and note that now the same AA 956 is OK: AA 956 EZE 20:35 JFK 06:05 +1 777 0 F7 J7 S0 Y7 W7 B7 H7 M7 N7 K7 L7 Q7 V7 G7 -> AA 33 JFK 07:35 +1 LAX 10:50 +1 762 0 F0 C0 Y0 B0 M0 V0 K0 Q0 The problem is just with AA - For example: Try on March 19: JFK-SYD asking for QF, all class of services will show up JFK-SYD asking for AA (that exactly the same flights since it is a code share), you will see the same problem from above:F0 C0 Y0 B0 M0 V0 K0 Q0 ----------------------------------- Second Problem -- Also in AA: It seems that Class of Service "A" and "D" are not showing up on AA flights with 3 class of service-- For example, the same 956 of above do have these two class of services but are not showing up (they used to appear) - However, the "D" class of service does show up in the AA flights with 2 International class of services (J/D - Business and Coach) -- for example: EZE-DFW -- AA 996 -- when used as a connection (i.e.: EZE-LAX connection through DFW) will show availability on "J" and "D" for business. For the 3 classes, not even as a connection are showing the "A" and the "D", but if you search but the codeshare airline, they will show-up OK. Same as the example before: JFK-SYD by QF and by AA. On QF you will see "A" and "D", but you will not see them on AA. Thanks for your assistance! |

Pardon the newbie question. I tried to search the thread but couldn't find the answer.
I would like to use a tool like this one or ExpertFlyer. This one is less expensive. What, if anything, do you give up by using this tool instead of ExpertFlyer? I see ExpertFlyer mentioned often, but just stumbled across this tool today and it seems to show the same kind of information. However it doesn't seem to be mentioned as much. Is there a comparison of the two systems somewhere that lists the pros and cons of each one? |

As to the similarities that you may have noticed, KVS Tool was 'born' in May 2004, while the 'other service' made its debut in Jan 2005 ;) ... |
Is there any type of update on why the WorldSPAN seatmap is still not working.
Thanks Dave |

There are many other differences as well. |

Any suggestions on where to see an Asiana seatmap while Worldspan is down? Gallileo and Apollo do not show OZ.
