I have two levels still to get 3 stars on  3-9 and 3-10 - even with hint videos they are impossible for me to get 3 stars...

Which app is that?
Thanks!

Photo transfer. It is a GREAT app. You can transfer phone to Ipad or Computer, and the other way. It works great on wireless. One of my favorite apps.

The official Google Voice app has finally be approved by Apple and can be downloaded in iTunes (US only I believe).

The current top free game, Train Conductor, is very fun and the price is right. I would check it out if you have not already done so and need a little distraction. It gets a little harder after the first city.

Woohoo! Can't wait to try this out. I may actually start using my mostly defunct Google Voice account!

Talking Carl
Color&Draw
Toddler Quizzing
ABC Animals
Preschool adventure
Wheels on the Bus
and the 1000 cartoons we have on our devices.

Never to late. My kid has learnt how to go back to the main screen so if he has the phone for longer then a few minutes I often find my apps missing or in a different place.

Hmm--looks like Apple just up and approved the 15-month-old app. Google needs to do some serious catch-up now that they've been approved. Access to the iPhone's contacts and VoIP over data (cell or wifi, like Skype) are two absolute necessities before I bother much more with it.

I almost doubt either of those will come very soon. GV is not VOIP (it never has been) and from Google's view point they want you using the contacts you have synced to Google, not the ones on your phone. It helps keep everything straight when it sorts out conversations online. I don't think that is too unreasonable, though it would be nice to include an import/sync tool that could sort out any differences between the contacts on GV and on your phone. If Google ever gets their contacts interface sorted out I wouldn't be surprised to see the iPhone accept it natively to sync much as you can do with Gmail or GCal currently.

The question for me is why would anyone use Google Voice when you have Skype?

Free inbound phone number and free outbound calls instead of having to pay (separately!) for both.

Transcribed voicemails is kinda cool, too.

The idea of keeping all of your communication--voicemail, texting, email, contacts, calling history, etc.--consolidated is appealing. It's used in corporate environments, but until Google Voice came along, it wasn't really available to end users.

That said, it isn't a perfect solution. I gave out my Google Voice number to the DO participants at the 127 Pound Cabbage Do in August, and it didn't seem to do what I expected it to do--I missed some texts and calls and got people's wrong numbers. I don't think I'll do that again.

It is now that they've integrated it with Gmail and you can call from within your browser.

They have the infrastructure for VoIP. They should implement it for iPhones.

Yes I agree but they are trying to compete against Apple with the android and they may be fearful of alienating the very cellular vendors they need to compete. It would seem inevitable at some point.
