IIRC, it's not officially run by FlyerTalk, but I could be wrong.

Good Dictation App?

Can someone suggest a good dictation app for the iPad? My mom might like to dictate family history, etc., rather than type it out.

Dragon Dictation works wonderfully.

Thanks to bigandtall I am now completely addicted to World War :D. I play it everywhere, I think about it all the time. I wake up in the middle of the night and try to figure out if my energy will be fully restored and how I can play a little without disturbing my wife.

Awesome game, hopefully there's a cure for addiction!

Flyertalk app is here!

So far I like although I'm not able to type this in landscape mode :-(

I like the app but too many ads no landscape mode and crash issues so far. However, has some great features and pretty good for Its first version.

Refresh button would be nice too!

The FlyerTalk iPhone app has arrived. It posted to iTunes, works pretty good for a first release app. Check it out; http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flyer...408750335?mt=8

Looks great, I have to play around with it.

Unfortunately I probably will stick with the web version unless I can set myflyertalk (too much to sort through), also can you set the threads so most recent is first? Those would make this really useful for me!

I also was one of the beta testers for the app, and while nothing has been promised, I was at least told that most of the concerns I brought up (this being chief among them) were also brought up at a very senior level within Internet Brands (who owns vBulletin). I hold out hope for great future improvements.

That said, you can partially approximate the experience of MyFlyerTalk by switching on the home screen to the "Subscribed" threads tab. Not perfect, but better than nothing.

One of the chief killers for me, though, is the lack of a "go to first unread post" button, and as such, I still find myself using the regular website, which, while far from optimal, is not completely unusable on a mobile device.

There doesn't seem to be a last post button either.

And I guess that I now need to copy the hosts file from my PC to my iPhone to block the ads. ;)

The chief killer for me is two ads per page.

I'll be glad to pay for an ad-free version but I'm not dealing with one loaded with ads.

That's one of the big reasons that I avoid "free" apps like the plague.
