Will it stream from an NAS connected to your home network?

I don't think so, it requires a server to run on the remote machine, clients for mac and pc.

Yep, it needs some power to do the transcoding. A NAS wouldn't have that sort of power.

Of course, it can read and stream from a NAS that is connected someway to the server.

I have a Windows 7 'headless' machine that I have connected to my home network. Works great on that.

Cheers,
Rick

I like it also, but all is not perfect in Dropbox Land:
--Complaint Filed With FTC Says Dropbox Misrepresented Security
(May 13 & 16, 2011)
A complaint filed with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alleges
that online storage provider Dropbox misled users about the security it
provides. According to the complaint, Dropbox claimed that customers'
files were completely encrypted and that no one, not even Dropbox
employees, could view their contents. However, researcher Christopher
Soghoian published data showing the Dropbox could actually view the
contents of the files.

TripIt's iOS

The app doesn't make great use of the iPad screen space, but the blog folks promised more features soon. And at least it's not blurry when zoomed, like the iPhone app was when scaled on the iPad!

that's great news! now you edit your plans within in the app, pick the right flight among updates in the app, and there’s a new sign-in experience that doesn’t bounce you to the Web or do anything weird.

A friend turned me on to the iPad app - Zite. It is similar to Flipboard but has the ability to add more content pages. It has now become one of my favorite apps!

Another Vote for Zite

I have tried many of the newsreaders including Zite, Pulse, FLUD and Flipboard. Zite has the most elegant and readable interface. Does a good job of honing in on content subjects you are interested in. I am also using InstaPaper. Good for downloading longer articles ahead of time. Works great when you don't have WiFi access. Zite is free. InstaPaper is 4.99.

I mean don't get me wrong, I like Zite a lot. However I still prefer Flipboard.

If you like instapaper, you'll LOVE readitlater, and it's free :-)

Spend the $4.99 on Instapaper. It's worth it. It's my most frequently used app on my iPhone and iPad. It's also universal, i.e. buy it once, install it on all your iOS devices.

Hmm, I'm clearly very happy with readitlater. Also universal, additional features to instapaper as well, same offline love and experience.

just another datapoint.
