I'm really enjoying HBO GO. You need to have a subscription to HBO via your home cable/dish provider, but if you do, you get access on the road to HBO on demand. Best part for me is that they have complete episodes of their various series. I've only seen an occasional episode of Entourage, for example, but I can now go back to season one and progress through to the latest one aired.

New app for Rome Side Trips

Rome is surrounded by interesting destinations for day trips and weekends, everything from ski resorts to beaches, to the myriad of ancient villages and abbeys. I have lived in Rome for the past nine years, and believe me, the options are endless. Rome Side Trips, a terrific new app for iphone, ipod touch and ipad has just gone on sale at the app store, with dozens of side trip ideas and itineraries an hour or two from Rome, including offline maps, navigtions, loads of photos and virtual video tours :

TuneIn Radio is awesome too; especially for international radio stations.

Lufthansa app

Hello everyone,
I have just stumbled upon this thread and found myself trying out various apps for hours :)
I'm sorry if it has been already mentioned here but I love the new Lufthansa iPad app. You can flick through a map to pick your destination, showing a decent info about the city. And of course they promote the A380 heavily here.
I found it a little sluggish on the 1st gen iPad, the experience will definitely be better on the 2nd gen.

Crackle - love the first 3 seasons of Married with Children plus some Japanese anime I grew up watching and some few years old movies all for free.

Youku - similar to youtube, gear towards asian videos, allows download to device and watch offline

BBC iPlayer - I just love BBC content.

Xfinity - if you or know someone that is a comcast customer.

Skype Wifi - looks promising, will try it next month when in Germany and Singapore.

Which, ironically enough, was precisely the Apple haters' slam on the iPad when it was first announced.

That app may be ITA-trains, which appears to be a schedule in Italian.

UPDATE:
When I turned the iPhone back on, without Searching for any other apps, this same app was showing the name iTreni and the description was in English. I then downloaded it, and the app itself is in English but you must enter cities in Italian (e.g., enter Roma for Rome).

Seems logical that in Italy the cities are called by their Italian names e.g. Roma, Firenze, Torino, etc.

Well the trenitalia site supports English and obviously a lot of English-speaking tourists will ride those trains (but maybe not as many using the app, unless they get a prepaid SIM for their iPhones).

I've used the online BBC iPlayer while in the UK, but access isn't allowed from the US. Does this App circumvent that? I'm also having trouble finding the App itself on the App Store. I would love to watch this content from the States.
