Heck even the 3rd gen iPad lagged too much so last year I replaced it with an iPad Air 2.

That's nice. I prefer having phones that are quick and new.

I'd personally be more concerned with the lack of security updates more than anything else. Just like somebody who keeps using expolorer 6 on XP, there comes a time to move on.

Well that is exactly one of the reasons I change my tech.

My iPad 2 cetainly runs the latest version of the iOS slowly but, it does run it, except for features that require newer hardware.

The biggest problem is the that iPad two only has 16 Gig of storage and thus is has problems storing data. As a result it frequently must refresh the screen by downloading data it already downloaded, which, of course, slows things down even more.

So I use the iPad 2 for things like streaming music and sending text messages. it also make a good kitchen time and alarm clock. The battery still holds a good charge and I rarely have to recharge it before the end of the day.

Which size, color and capacity?

I'd myself go for the Jet Black 7 Plus with 128GB.

I went with the 256GB 7+ in matte black. Main reason was availability - this was the model with the earliest anticipated ship date. By the time I tried to order 128GB Jet Black, I would've had to wait till November.

I'll do 7 Plus 256gb. Sprint offering same price as 128gb so makes sense.

If 128GB and 256GB are the same price then it's an absolute no brainer to get 256GB. It's like gas stations offering any sized coffee or soda for 79¢.

If that car they're alleged to be working on isn't absolutely ground-breaking, I don't see where Apple has to go in terms of growth
The Apple watch is the new "iphone" in phased development. It's not at all meant as a Fitbit competitor.

One more generation, or two max, and its a full-fledged phone.

So I'd guess that the next Iphone is their last bug effort on phone. And then its ride gently like they have been doing with Macs for years now...
