Comments: Was supposed to be a brg booking but it obviously got denied by brg dept. as by the time they looked at my original reservation, hotel has already pre-upgraded me to their suite. Pretty happy as this property has only 2 suites and i got one of them way in advanced

I know this is a bit OT but I'm supposed to go to CAI beginning of May and am booked at this hotel. Would you say it's safe to travel? And how is the hotel?

Imho, yes. However, a feeling of safety is very subjective.

I would suggest we continue discussing the property http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starw...-thread-7.html . I could not find a master thread for this property.

SNA came through 5 days out. London was very busy due to London Marathon. Very nice stay and their website now states that a complete room renovation will begin throughout the hotel starting September 2014 which is wonderful news. I specifically asked if they are going to change the Palm Court and was told no plans to do so. Glad to hear that as we love the room. We opted for the Platinum breakfast daily which was very good.

Comments: nice property bit outside from the center. Free shuttle service from airport worked perfectly, our flight arrived 40min before schedule and the car was ready and waiting.

Rooms are spacious and the breakfast buffet wide.

I take it you had breakfast in the restaurant and not the lounge?
