Room received: Club "Large Corner" King + connecting Club 2 Doubles + Club 2 Doubles
Award stay: (yes), for both Doubles; type (FAN)
BRG stay: (no) but Birth Year Promotion for the King room made it a great bargain
SNAs redeemed: (no); not offererd at this hotel; no suites
Comments: Normally I don't get excited about a Club room upgrade but this was different. While they don't have suites, and don't sell differentiated room sizes, there are a few larger-than-average "Traditional" corner rooms on each floor. I was very pleased when, 5 days before arriving, I called about adjoining rooms and they confirmed what they called the "Large Corner King" and adjoining double room, with all rooms on the Club floor. The Large King corner room had a sofa bed, fridge and microwave and was bigger (~600 sq ft) than many Jr. Suites I've seen. Connecting it with the double made it all feel like a large suite. Pre-reserving it for me 5 days in advance on a night when the hotel was full is better than I could have expected with a SNA. Very pleased with the Plat recognition.

The spirit of the thread is to report any upgrade, not just suites. It sounds like you got a much better room than booked so I would call it a success. It's certainly sounds better than some of the measly Club upgrades I've reported.

Yeah, even I'm not Plat and I think that's a huge upgrade. Check the price for that room to see how much they're selling it for.

Edit: not available 27-28 but 29 shows 785 euros per night...i paid 172 euros for single french bed room
