Comments: Booked under SPG Hot Escapes. I commented at check-in that this type of upgrade was hard to come by at many SPG hotels.. The front desk informed me they make all of the Platinum members feel special with excellent upgrades, and a full American breakfast.

Comments: The standard upgrade for SNAs are the Marvellous Suite. Unfortunately, this room was not available for either of these nights. As a result, the property offered me the Pool villa upgrade for $300,-/nt. I was annoyed by this because a couple of my friends had stays days before, and were offered the same u/g for $150,- and $175,-/nt respectively. The property claimed it was peak season; however, peak season didn't start until 23 December, which was well after my departure. Eventually, the property came back and honoured a $150,-/nt rate, so I took it.
