ah I looked at booking these about 3 weeks ago but didn't go ahead as people were saying it wasn't the lie flat beds. Is it definitely q suites now?

"Definitely" is beyond my control, but my flights are currently Qsuites, so hoping they dont change, but various posts are saying that Qsuites on the HKG flights.

i can't seem find a good Y or J deals from EU (except UK) to SE Asia, or colombo in the fall. I have been waiting but nothing came up and QR flights are all expensive even in Y. Thought I could do a quick RT in September but QR hasn't had any good deals. ANy leads?

Trying LGW-BKK out mid-week & returning to LHR, a few options in Y at £370 return in September, £435 in October.
Then try via Skyscanner, to see if the OTAs can shave any more off ?
OK it's ex-UK (not Europe) and only a few dates, but there do seem to be a handful of good fares ... perhaps someone realised that it's unprofitable to fly half-full planes round the world ? Or maybe there are more European options about to be loaded ?
Who knows with QR these days, perhaps the recent high-fares were one last attempt to shake free some higher-priced bookings, before an autumn-sale ?

I was thinking along similar lines. I've noticed that prices from many EU start points have increased sharply over the last few days (looking ahead to October / November). Fingers crossed this is in advance of some decent sale prices in the coming weeks.
