The Qatar cargo site shows that AMS -DOH is changing to Q Suites later this year!!! It’s doesn’t go beyond OCT but I’m very hopeful for Q suites in early Jan 19

I guess we are just spoilt with the relatively quieter 380s, 787s, 350s.

It's proving very difficult to wean myself onto different carriers!
After a discussion with Mrs IM decided to book this.

Lunchtime departures, 1h 30m transits each way & the same luggage allowance as a Gold travelling in QR first. It won't be as good as QR but with ongoing premium prices & so difficult to use the QMiles I'm convinced this is my future flying. I'm a huge QR J fan, but this is the start of booking the best deal rather than being held hostage by my loyalty. What a shame...

I think this is very account specific but I got an email with a 20% voucher where they were announcing(very late) to me that the A350 now flies from EDI so I managed to get a slightly cheaper eco fare for EDI-SIN at £381.

I know it's not the usual J deals that everyone else posts but it's something

I'm seeing banner-ads offering UTP-LHR return from only B24,820, on this and other sites, however clicking on the ad leads to fares in September starting at B26,640, another QR-enhancement ?

Interestingly the return-fare sometimes include a trip on a National-Express bus, from LHR to LGW, where the actual flight experience begins ! That's a creative way of getting passengers to use the new LGW-DOH route !

Weekly(?) Qatar UK email contains some Business class offers this week .. nothing earth shattering

The only notable offer in the email is £1629 rt London - Penang which is decent enough by recent standards, though not by historical ones !

Odds of Qatar running a Business Class sale anytime soon for Asia->Europe for Xmas/NY flights? Slim? Wondering if I should snap up with current pricing or wait for a sale..

There's also a lot of LGW-SIN fares pricing at 420€ and LHR-BKK at 450€.
