Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

It is one of the reasons why Qsuite 2.0 will have a slightly lower door once its introduced.

I suspect that they may not yet have uploaded the winter equipment schedule? If you look on the QR Cargo website (qrcargo.com/checkrouting), there is no equipment listed past 10/27/18. Usually the QSuites 773's are listed as "77P."

Where do you see 2-2-2? Are you checking seat maps on Expertflyer?
Would QR take QSuites off Chicago for just the winter months?

I'm booked on ORD-DOH 11/19 -- the old 2-2-2 seat map shows in my reservation (and on expert flyer). I've been checking back every couple of days to see if a new schedule gets populated with QSuites, but trying not to get my hopes up.

Yeah, I have my fingers crossed as well.

Currently booked PHL-ORD-DOH 3/2/19. If the new schedule pops up on Qatar Cargo and it shows ORD-DOH without QSuites, will probably switch to direct PHL-DOH flight on the A359.

Not very familiar with Qatar cargo site but just checked it after reading comments above. The route I’m interested in is AMS DOH! This is showing as 77P till the end of OCT! Am I correct in saying that this means Q suites? My flight not till early Jan and MMB shows 2-2-2 obviously still! Here’s hopeful !
It changes from 771 to 77P on 16th Sept.

Yes! 77P means QSuites. See the wiki at the top of this FT thread for further reference: The Complete Guide to the Qatar Airways Fleet

Good luck to you!

Any seat recommendations for J cabin on the A350-1000 for a solo traveler? Going to be flying QR68 next month. I know that rear-facing window seats are typically recommended for the 77W. Does the same advice apply to the A351?

I just booked a J award on QR ORD-DOH-MLE in late November. I could have done IAH. Although there are no guarantees on QSuites, am I correct to believe that ORD is a better probability than IAH? When do Winter Schedules come out?

Based on historical flight equipment data as well as some of the public comments from the airline I believe IAD has a higher probability of operating with Q Suites. I would say next most probable US originating flight is the JFK afternoon flight.

Anyone hazard a guess or know how many days/months in advance does the seat map change to reflect Q Suites on a route that is been upgraded to Q?

Interestingly my mid October flight CDG DOH QR038 has been upgraded from standard 350 to Qsuite 350. But my end February QR038 still shows standard 350.

Looks like the QSuites 777-200 (A7-BBG) just got plugged on my trip Are there any particular biz seat that are best for a couple? Looks like only EF seats are for couples but does the row matter?

I can see on ExpertFlyer that most of the EF are open but it doesn't give me any change options.

Also, does this plane have wifi?

Exactly the same guidance applies - take a rear-facing window seat, close the door and relax

Thanks! I note that the qrcargo web site hasn’t been updated yet.

Been allocated 8A and 9B and extremely limited options available (all at the back and on the side). Will give them a call tomorrow.
