What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul Business?
The Business Class meals served are of a far higher quality than those served by most other airlines.

What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.
There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.
Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus frequently, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.
The 2017 thread contains the newest menu for each flight for 2016 for continuity.
The 2016 menus can all be seen here.
Menus from earlier are mostly using another meals service system and cannot be used to understand the current menus.

When the FA comes to discuss your meal options at the start of the flight as them to 'reserve' your likely choices for later meals even if you don't want to specify when you want them. You can then order against your reservation later or change your mind based on there being availability or not at that time.

I had the meze, the chicken (good), the cheese plate (very nice), and the chocolate cake (good). After that, even with a nine hour flight, I didn't try any of the light options.

I will preface this by saying that overall, I am happy with the in flight meals in J. However, this past week flying DOH-BKK I selected the asparagus omelette option. Really not very nice. It gave me a flashback to my army days and the omelette IMP field ration pack :/

I'm guessing there is no difference between a special meal ordered in Y and ordered in J, but has anyone booked the Hindu meal and could give any feedback on it?

It was not very flavorful but I already had a meal at lounge so I was OK.
Also you can order off the main menu as well. Doha catered food may
be better and spicy...

I had a very agreeable Chateau Monbousquet, Sanint-Emillion Grand Cru Classe, 2012 on my CDG-DOH flight, in J, 2 weeks back. This seems to be a new addition to the menu. The rest of the menu is as reported earlier for morning EU-DOH departures.

just flew DOH to AMS after short transit through DOH from BKK. Flight in J was rammed ( as expected) . Crew were great and took food orders pre take off. Have just eaten in the lounge was not hungry so asked crew to put aside a couple of items including Cheese plate for approx 4 hours later. when they came to serve me told me that they had run out of cheese plates and would i like something else. Not a major issue but asked the purser that i thought that as Priv Club gold i should have first choice on food availability. she informed me that this was not company policy and that there was not enough cheese loaded in DOH and this will be fed back to catering management. About 10 mins later she returned with a plate with some soft cheese and biscuits and said she had made this up from other catering on-board, she was most apologetic and said she hoped this would do . Great service recovery despite the cheese not being as it should have been . Was i wrong in my assumption that PC gold should be consulted first with choices of food or was that just an old protocol?
