What sort of meals can I expect when flying Long-Haul Business?
The Business Class meals served are of a far higher quality than those served by most other airlines.
This thread contains photos of actual Menus and/or Wine Lists as well as photos of the food and discussion about Business Class food.

What is the menu for my flight?
Look at the index below and see if there is a recent menu for your flight.

There is no menu for my flight. What do I do?
If you are unable to find a menu relevant to your flight, find a QR flight which departs at a similar time to yours, and of a similar length.

Can I rely upon these menus being available when I fly?
No for a number of reasons
1 QR change their menus on a monthly basis, so you may be in luck and find the specific options for your flight.
2 Where there is more than one flight a day to a destination the menu varies according to the time of day. Who wants breakfast on an evening flight?
3 Menus may vary from destination to destination due to flight time, number of meals served, local culture etc.

Illustrated Menu index.
The index below contains per Destination, Flight numbers and Route, Type of Document (Menu or Wines), Year and month it was served and the post number or link to the post in this thread.

For Pjs the answer is to be found on the Wiki of http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qatar...l#post26648164. Please read them and ask again if your questions are still unanswered.
Thats really useful information thanks. Looks like I get PJs on both my DOH-BKK-DOH sectors. ^

Point of interest about the food. Do Qatar (and indeed other airlines) server the same food on a route everyday for a period of time? Is that menu in post 29 likely to be the exact menu I get or is it just an example of the type of dish they will be serving please?

That being said, I do of course appreciate that people get hungry...oh, and it's free, so why not!

Remdk has answered in terms of the Amenity Kit and Pjamas.

First world problems!

Couple of really useful posts there, appreciate it. Feel a bit guilty as I now see I should have searched a bit harder. Thanks,

They tend to keep the menus for around 4-6 weeks before changing it...in my experience at least.

If you have seen a Menu for May, it's likely you'll have the same menu.

I'll be on QR836 24h after capin with a 45 min connection time coming from BRU. Hell will I be hungry? Yes would be my best bet....
I also hope they still will have the Vouvray...

Just flown QR836 to BKK. As described above the menu is a full dinner with a 'light' breakfast - a choice of 4 hot & cold items.

The bubbly served in the onboard bar was Billecart Salmon brut & Tattainger rose. No Krug, which didn't bother me, but they were serving JW Blue whisky, which was quite pleasent!

I'm traveling with a relative who has only ever travelled economy and a couple of sectors on BA CW. We've been in the BA lounges in Dublin and LHR T5 and the TG lounge in BKK. I've love to get up to Al Mourjan for a glass of champers with them but I think we'll probably be frogmarched down to 836 from 274. Ramadan on the way back, 5 or 6 hours in the lounge but with no booze.

I'll be flying LAX-DOH with an overnight (Doubletree) followed by DOH-CMB and return. I know with on 0800 departure to CMB it'll be brekkies, but can anyone tell me about Business meal service on LAX-DOH and return on the lengthy (nearly 16 hours) 777-200LR flights?

Shukran.

I did a similar length DOH-MIA they had appetisers, breakfast, light meals and dinner. Each with a few selections. Since it is an a la carte service you would be able to order any of the meals at anytime.

Being that they are dine on demand you can eat however you like. LAX-DOH will have the menu setup as dinner/snacks/breakfast. DOH-LAX will have the menu setup as breakfast/snacks/lunch. A lot of times I find the snack offerings on these flights better than the Lunch/Dinner mains. I almost always skip breakfast on the DOH-North America fights as like most people they are connecting form somewhere else and breakfast time has already gone by. Plus I find champers goes better with non breakfast items .

Very Early Flight J Meal?

Flight leaves 2:45 a.m. to DOH-MUC. Anyone know what type of menu J would have (assume b'fast only - at least it will be dine on demand and not served automatically at 3:30 a.m.? Or?)?

JW Blue in J? Is this a common resident at the bar?

They've only just introduced it & it's only available in the bar, not in your seat.

Worth the effort though!
