What are the exit row seats like on QF flights. Specifically I've booked the following seats on the following flights and just curious what people think as far as if they are good seats or not. Seat guru was somewhat vague.
QF545 - Brisbane to Sydney - Seat 34B Exit Row
QF626 - Melbourne to Brisbane - Seat 14 C Exit Row
QF417 - Sydney to Melbourne - Seat 34B Exit Row
I assume the two flights with the same seat are on the same plane type. Any feedback is appreciated.

Go row 35; 34 is a bulkhead and there significantly better legroom in 35. (Although if you are under about 175cm in height then likely not an issue.)
As for the 14C, look around from 80 hours before the flight (3⅓ days) and see if 4C or 4D become available - they are better seats than the exits.

Need advice on the 2 class 717 (HBA-SYD). Currently have selected 4C but asking if there is a solid bulkhead between the 2 cabins - and reduced room to stretch out the legs. If there is a bulkhead restricting foot room, I'll move back to the exit row or try for the upgrade lottery.

There is a floor-to-ceiling bulkhead (not curtain) between rows 3 and 4, though it appears to curve forwards so as not to encroach on legroom.

Looking at doing IAH-DFW-SYD. PE prices out right about $2.1k over Y RT for 2. I am 6'3" so usually Y is really a struggle for me for more than 2 or 3 hours, much less going to SYD. Is the 380 PE seat worth the extra $$$ or should I just booze it up, pop an ambien and try to tough out Y?

Alternatively there are a couple of extra leg-room seats available for AUD25 per person, including row 71D and 80A and 80K.
Is PE worth it? It is similar to a US domestic first class in terms of seating and food (assuming a transcontinental meal service). As the seat recline is generous (9'), there can be an issue when the person in front reclines (hard to get out of your seats if you need).
At 6'3 you'll probably find the legrest fairly useless. i tend to think PE is overpriced unless you can get it heavily discounted on sale.
Not sure how the flight timings would work out - but if you want an upgraded service, maybe consider something like AA first class to HNL connecting to Jetstar star class HNL-Au. Star class is pretty much similar to Qantas PE (with the advantage that you are top of the pecking order on Jetstar being in the highest cabin).

QF 95 PE question
I am on QF flt. 95 on May 27, 2015 in PE. Currently I have seat 36K, exit row. It looks like probable the best aisle but am wondering if I would be better off in 36J which is the aisle seat. I don't want to climb over anyone to stretch during the flight and there will not be much to see other than takeoff & landing. Suggestions please.

Thanks Serfty! Just got text saying upgrade confirmed, row 3 and 5J gone but got 5B, assume that's just as good.
Edit: I see your picture on the 747 reconfg thread of 5B, looks fine to me and not bothered by foot traffic.
Cheers
