Not on legroom, but it does make it more difficult to stand up - for 50A/B to access the aisle 50C will need to stand up if the bassinett is out. This is not necessarily the case if it's folded away.
The main issue is that often the floor spaces gets occupied with Juvenile paraphernalia and even the juvenile in question.
We travelled between SIN/LHR each-way in 50B/C in June, once with Bub the other without.

QF7QF8 Business Seat Selection
Good evening all,
I’m a gold Qantas FF member and I’m on an early October 2011 QF7 (SYD-DFW) in business class. I understand I can’t certain select certain business cabin seats in the standard business cabin due to my non-platinum status however seats in row 4 (previous first class section) are available.
Given the drawbacks listed in this thread and on seatguru for 4A/4K; are 4A/4K better seats than my current advance seat options in rows in 18 (UD) and 23-26?
Thanks

Zone A every time! If thay are still available, take row 4 seating Now!
As you posted, you have First class seats available. The presence of row 4 indicates this. (with the reconfiguration to Skybed MkII, there is no row 4.)

Flying QF2 tonight in Y+. (recently changed to 40 seat Y+ cabin 747?)
Just checked seat availability and bulkhead 34 B was available so bagged that. Had 35B before, bulkhead improvement I presume, there were quite a lot of negatives on seat expert?
Not wanting to be stuck in a bad seat for 20+ hrs!
Cheers!

Leg room and motion sickness A380
Hello,
I recently travelled Qantas A380 from Sydney to Heathrow via Singapore.
Legroom in economy is inadequate to anyone taller than 5 feet 6 inches. Motion of aircraft rolling left to right and back, yawing, is disconcerting if you suffer any motion sickness. Avoid.
Aircraft dropped an engine on arrival at Singapore as did a Singapore Airlines A380 the day before. 3 hour delay.
Pre booking seats does not work. Cost $80 per leg but if you change anything they swallow the money and charge you $160 as well.
Unhappy with Qantas, especially as frequent flyer. Loyalty program.... loyalty to who. Certainly not the passengers.

As for paying to pre book seats, the QF web site does make it clear on the fees and liabilities. The solution here is to work up status with QF or OW and that should get free seat allocation.
And, welcome to FT.

There is no Qantas 747 configuration with row 31 being the most forward PE row.
You flight would normally be this configuration:
