Simply trying to use the tools to plan a RTW. Within the 16 segment itin, I want to fly AA on LAX-ORD-FCO. The ORD-FCO segment has NO AA flight shown but IB codeshare (on that only AA metal) is shown. So I click it, then it comes back with a suggestion that I must use AA). So I end up not being able to complete my RTW itin online. Try it on several different dates to no avail. Might have to call AA RTW desk.
If this was a bug, they should fix it.
What dates and class?

Buggy Online Ticketing

I've been playing around with online tool to see if I could ticket a bare bones DONE03 ex-AMM. If the first flight is AMM-ORD, it gets all the way to CC page & then I get an error message. When I changed first flights to AMM-LHR-LAX, I got a record locator # for BA and itinerary on hold. But I am reluctant to book with BA due to posts indicating problems/fees with making changes, etc. Fare was about $US200-300 more with AMM-LHR segment -- I'm guessing for the UK airport taxes. I wish I could ticket online!!!!

2/15/13 AMM-LHR-LAX-MIA-NRT-LHR-AMM

I was able to get a ticket on hold with a BA record locator # (1st flight is BA flight) with the above. When I tried similar itinerary AMM-ORD... I got the error message after entering CC info. AMM-ORD was RJ flight (no AA code share offered).

I received a response from the BA European RTW team saying that my route is valid for DONE4 despite the online tool quoting approx 2x the correct fare. They agree there is a bug in this. They (and I) have reported it to the oneworld help desk.

The system is really pathetic. The One World HQ should get their heads out of their asses and sort out this mess. I am getting the error message on any itinerary I try out of LHR or JNB. I assumed it was my acct but I got the error messages on public computers without using my account.

Does Minnperl still ticket?

Well, I tried to do a complicated ex-JNB DONE5.

jnb-hkg-del-nrt-cgk-hkg-jfk-scl-bog-scl-ipc-scl-lax-lhr-dxb-lhr-cpt

Goes thru the entire process and displays the error about problems with the database. Forgot to get the actual error number, but I think it has been mentioned before. A simple 5 segment ex-JNB appears to price correctly with the tool. So, does the AA GSA still do ticketing?

Used the online tool to book a DONE5, originating in BUD, first leg BUD-LHR using the AA codeshare flight number for a BA-operated flight.

Took my (US) AA mastercard, said the price would be blah-blah euros...

Last page comes up. I get a record locator, says itinerary confirmed. Also get an email from "[email protected]" stating the same.

However, last page also has this on it:

"The following error(s) occured
The notification of your booking has not reached your reservation office. In order to ensure that your reservation is confirmed, it is imperative that you contact your reservation office by phone or mail and provide them with your confirmation number. (4622)"

I call into AA RTW this morning. They say they can see my entire itinerary is there... and that it is probably just waiting for "the european desk" to finish ticketing.

No charge to my CC yet, though I did call in to tell them to expect a charge from AA somewhere in Europe in about the amount I was quoted on the last page ~7800 EUR.

------------------

Am I good? Or does this error message signal something dire is in the works and I need to call AA RTW again?

I should also note that for a brief period last evening after booking I could see the locator under my AA account, but attempting to view details would make the web page choke. As of this morning, it is no longer present under my account. Searching manually for it causes the website to barf errors. And yet the RTW desk can see it in all its glory apparently. Odd.

First time booking one of these, sorry if this is the wrong spot for the question.

Tool cannot ticket with MH

not really a bug, but the tool is now displaying this message

OW RTW online booking tool problem YVR - LHR

HI there
Just trying to set up a RTW using the online booking tool and I know from experience there can be issues but have never had a problem getting it to bring up a direct flight from Vancouver to London ...... It will let me book to a destination beyond London eg Paris - with a connection via London but not just the YVR-LHR flight
I've tried different dates and also J rather than F which is what I want but no joy and have been trying off an on the past 24 hours
Anyone else had this issue ?
Cheers

I'm going to merge this with the existing "tool bug" thread.

Experiencing the same booking engine 9015 error issue

Hi Rens,

I wondered if you found a resolution to this problem as I am currently experiencing the same issue? Which is very frustrating.

Thanks and appreciate your help!
