Thanks for updating us! I finally got it to work yesterday afternoon for me for the Biz App. I was told that by applying for both the personal and biz card at the same time flags one of the applications because the system "thinks" there may be an accidental double application, even though they are for 2 different cards. I was told that it should work its way out within 48-72 hours, and should be approved for both (was approved for Personal immediately, but Biz had me call in).

Thank you, William, but when I use that, I get a "Page Not Found". Anyone else?

My guess is that William meant https://www201.americanexpress.com/c...enCampId=20048, but accidentally cut/pasted the shortened FT display link.

Weird. I copied and pasted it that way out of my browser, but thanks for the catch and I'll go back and edit it again.

My wife and I have a ton of airline miles (well a ton to us ) but now are looking for hotel points and this seems like an awesome way to go. She's a little concerned about the spending requirements without the mint, but we'll manage

We just had a couple of questions:

Are there any possibilities to sign up for both the personal and business at the same time to maximize points for each of us?

Will it count as 1 or 2 credit inquiries if we are allowed to do both personal and business at the same time?

I read through the thread, so hopefully I didn't miss answers for those questions before...

Absolutely, you can have both the personal and business at the same time. I have the personal and just signed up for the business. No problem at all whatsoever. If you have don't have a tax ID for your business you can always register as a sole proprietorship

You could sign both you and your wife up for both for a total of four cards. 4 cards times 30k = 120k ^

As far as credit inquiries , no idea there...

If you want personal referrals, let me know....

Referals no longer available?

I sent a referral to my wife, but when she clicks on the "APPLY" link on the referral email, the SPG page says that the promo is no longer available.

I presume SPG has now pulled the plug on the 5,000 referral bonus promo?

No, however, closing a browser and starting a new browsing session will likely solve this problem. I'm told that if someone is already logged into their AMEX account and clicks on the referral email, they will be directed to an error page like this.

How many AmEx cards can one apply for at the same date?

I tried to google and search throught FT forums to not see any definitive answer.

My question is - I plan to apply for SPG Personal SPG Business and Hilton AmEx at the same day. Assuming everything else (credit score, inquiries etc.) is in place, will it work out? Or are there particular limits are to how you should spread your applications?

My understanding is that Personal and Business should certainly be applied for at the same time as there are essentially cards for two different "entities" (you and your business - even though pull from the same credit report), but what about adding the 3rd card into mix?

I will really appreciate any advice on this topic.

I have a Hilton Visa card since I generally stay at Hiltons. But I got this offer and I'm tempted. Is it a good deal? Okay, maybe that's a silly questioni.
