Probably. The link I pasted early in the thread just asks for the zip code and the RSVP code. For the business apps you can change the name of the business as long as the address stays the same. You can always try.

When I enter the RSVP number and ZIP it brings me to an application that asks for name, SSN, income, but no address. So it seems you can get it as long as you live at the address it is sent to?

Just received an email from american express that I can refer for the bonus of 10k with first purchase(as usual) and 20k more with 4500$ in spend within 3 months on approval. PM me first and last name along with email address. It says unlimited referrals and offer ends august 10

For those curious:
I signed up for the 25k offer and was approved May 30. Received / activated my cards Jun 30 (living overseas and having CC companies required to send your plastic to your US address is a real PITA).
When I first heard about the 30k offer (when it was targeted only) I sent a secure message. Nada
Then I called, CSR told me I needed to provide proof in writing.
I saw this, had someone send me an invite email constituting the proof. They told me they couldn't receive an email or fax so they couldn't actually accept the proof like they told me they could.
They asked for the POID then told me that didn't come up on their systems. Was about to get bent out of shape but elevated the call to someone more senior.
After giving me a hard time, they held me to the high spend offer (ie spend of $15,000 in 6mo vs $4,500 in 3mo) but they credited me the additional 5k points between the 25k offer I had and the 30k offer that I was invited to.

So I didn't receive the e-mail offering me such a referral to offer my family. Just have the standard 25k for $15000 spending. When I sent an e-mail asking for it I was denied.
I'd love to know what it is about my profile that makes my referrals less valuable to AMEX. I've had the SPG for a couple of years. I also hold the Platinum and Delta cards with them. I charge plenty and am signed up for e-mail offers.
Anyone have any thoughts on why some people are targetted on this one and not others?

• American Express recently sent an email to current SPG Amex Cardmembers promoting a “Member-get-Member” campaign, which allows existing Cardmembers to refer a friend or colleague for the Card and earn 5,000 Starpoints for each approved friend. The difference with this campaign versus those in the past is that the friend or colleague can now take advantage of a new, richer offer, and earn up to 30,000 Starpoints. Over the next few weeks, Consumer Cardmembers and OPEN (Small Business) Cardmembers with an email address which is opted-in may receive this offer from American Express. This offer expires August 10, 2011.
• This campaign is open to all US SPG Amex Cardmembers who receive the e-mail (it it not currently available for Canada or UK Cardmembers).
• There is also an offer on the Cardmember account page on americanexpress.com for 10,000 Starpoints per approved referral. However, the offer for friends/colleagues is 10,000 first purchase and an additional 15,000 after spending $15,000 in your first 6 months. This offer expires July 25, 2011.
