so this mean I end up paying about $2. But if my total was less than $300 I should be refunded an equal amount that I was charged.
Exchange Rate fluctuation. Note the dates of posting are different. Go to XE.Com to check historical exchange rate if you are so concerned.

Are you really serious about the $2 you have to pay?

I don't recall "buying" this option. Anyone else receive this? Does this mean I get a free shuttle ride, once I receive my Expedia voucher?

Dear Guest,

Thank you for booking your ground transportation with Expedia. We are their Airport Shuttle provider in Las Vegas. Please review steps below on what to expect when you arrive and depart Las Vegas. Please note, as a courtesy we have already placed your RETURN PICKUP in our reservations computer and scheduled your return pickup time, see below:

Arriving in Las Vegas at McCarran Airport:

Claim your baggage and proceed outside Door #9 of the baggage claim area to our Bell Trans Booth.
Check-In with the greeter staff outside the booth who will provide you with Return Vouchers.
Use the voucher(s) you printed at home/office for your initial transportation to your hotel and use the Return Voucher provided to you from our staff for your transport back to McCarran Airport.
You will need to provide your driver with a voucher each way.

** Your transportation vouchers are NOT included in this email. Expedia will send you a separate email containing the vouchers.

Departing Las Vegas from McCarran Airport:

**Due to security at McCarran Airport and travel time, we placed your RETURN PICKUP, 2.5 hours before your flight departure time.

On the day of your return, please be outside the hotel with your luggage at the hotel designated Airport Shuttle pickup location.
Please allow a 10 minute window before and after your pick up time. The shuttle makes multiple stops and your exact pick up time will depend on which stop you are on the driver’s route.
3. Please provide your driver with your return voucher.

YOUR PICK UP IS SCHEDULED FOR: 4:15am

If you would like to change the time of your Return Pickup you can reach our reservations department at (800) 274-7433 or (702) 739-7990 and speak to an agent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

THANK YOU
BELL TRANS

Pretty much everywhere but the US date format - dd/mm/yy. Smallest to biggest, makes a lot more sense than the order you say it or whatever reason you guys go mm/dd/yy.

SFO777 Maybe you missed this default check off after the hotel booking screen. You were offered several transportation options but the shuttle already had a check mark in it's box for $12.50 additional. You likely forgot to remove it.

Yup, didn't even see that one. With the $0.00 price, I wasn't really paying attention to that part of the booking process. Thanks.

They sneaked it in there in one of the many screens. Almost all of the additional services/products require you to check the box to get them, but this one is checked by default and you have to uncheck the box to opt out.

Doesn't look too bad for a free shuttle.

EDIT: opps... just saw it was answered above.

Taxi or rent a car?

I have 5 trips all at different hotels (CLD-LAS) 12/8 - 12/14 with a "day off" on Saturday night back home. I have four free trips and one I accidentally paid for....I needed the segments anyway. So for 5 Taxi R/T to hotel/back to airport, it comes out to $18 per one way including 20% tip x 10 = $180.

Rental car is $121 (for the week) + parking at the airport is $8 per day (actually probably 1/2 day) when I am traveling "away" (going home and coming back), then add gas...and is less convenient with self parking at the hotel, picking up/dropping off car rental, than doing a convenient cab. However, by renting a car, I could check in a bag, vs changing clothes out at my car in CLD (with clothes for the full week, liquids and wine carrier box for wine and other drinks.), then leave my bag in car while flying home and back. If I do the 12 case wine carrier...I could do a full bar.....Party at my room!

Anyway, anyone else thinking of doing a car rental over multiple stays VS taxi (10 in my case)?
I'm still leaning towards the taxi.

P.S., I bought these on Saturday, and received my refunds/payments today.

Thank you OP!
Thank you Flyer Talk!
Also Thanks to Expedia.....they are loosing less money than you think...stuff like this comes out of promo budgets...our distribution company could do stuff like this, making things seem free). Also, because Expedia was nice about it, by honoring their mistake (so far) (plus airline fares where I am earning the miles/segments), I am much more likely to use Expedia now. And vegas will get my gambling money...5 cent slots totaling a buck or two...I'm such a high roller.

Although I probably won't have time to donate a turkey...I will be sure to do something to help over the x-mas holiday.

Sorry for the rambling!

As others have noted, you can arrange a shuttle on day of arrival, OR if you are making arrangements for others and like to have everything prearranged, go to XP and look the activities tab and radio button for Las Vegas. In the ground transportation category, the Shared Roundtrip Transportation voucher may be purchased for $12/pp = $6 each way. Yes, this can be done as a separate booking now. Enjoy...

+ parking at the airport..
One more thing to throw into the mix.. it doesn't matter where you park you're responsible for that rental car. You face the same risks when you leave the agency or when driving, but an airport parking lot tends to have a lot of traffic and people at all times. If someone runs into it, or worse, it gets vandalized, your 'savings' will evaporate into thin air. I'd take the taxi just so I didn't have to worry about that.
