When is a news outlet going to pick this up? Local or even National.

While I doubt this was an early Xmas gift, they were very clear about 300 all over the deal, so unless a disgruntled operations manager did this to pull a prank, I think they had to know this would happen.

Most credit card companies stand to make 3% on most of the US transactions.

Of 7 bookings I only made 2 on Canadian Cards/No Fee BA Visa.

My partner: Why were you up until 7am this morning?
Me: Because Flyertalk is evil.
Partner: You need to stop with that crap.
Me: Oh, were going to Vegas Next week for 5 days.
Partner: Great <sigh> how much is THAT going to cost us?
Me: Nothing.
Partner: You should stay up late more often!

Me: Priceless... Really!

Where are the current terms located?

I know this may be a dumb question, but after scanning (yes I only scanned the 1800+ posts) this threat I am still unclear exactly where the current (this hour!)promo terms are actually posted.

I did not know that. An excellent first post, welcome to FT!

Expedia.com (The US site) has a similar promo earlier this year to the Bahamas.

still sorta alive

I booked 6 vegas trips ex-USA over the past day... they are getting harder to get through. Be persistent. Clear data/cookies between bookings. Use different CC numbers or virtual/alias CC numbers. Keep refreshing that coupon until it sticks.

my most recent one went through a little after 8 alaska time, just after midnight eastern time. what an exciting/exhausting afternoon.

did well to only get a hotel for part of the stay and have a traveling companion get the remainder of the hotel stay on their reservation.

i hope x.ca makes it through this and that we all get to keep our lovely trips. thank you expedia!

As for the the deal, I almost died when I went in to see that my itinerary was set as not booked, until I realized that I had made an additional one for test purposes under my log on, while the actual booked one was made as guest. I logged off and went in as guest looked up the itinerary number and bingo there it was. Although UA shows the Itinerary and seats and XP shows the confirmation, my CC does not. It won't show up until Monday since according to the website any transaction done on the late weekend hours won't show up till the next business day.

So if I book now Milwaukee to Las Vegas(code works on FIrefox) do you think I will be able to fight using the old screen shot before the rules changed and get the 300 clams back??

Honest opinions PLEASE

Hmm. Started to book, accepted code, $0.00 balance to be charged and then after processing it returns "Room Type Unavailable" for multiple hotels. Is this the beginning of the end?

I think you can answer your own question there. If not, chances are no. But they may book it and let you fly... who knows?

When you say confirmation screen, do you mean the page after selecting your flights?

I tried doing a same day turn from PHX to LAS. I can select my flights just fine (choosing a 1h 15min layover). However when I add the hotel, my flights get changed to the 6am departure and 12:30pm return. And from then no there's no way to change the flights.

Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

And a better question to ask is: Are you willing to go to Canadian Court for $300?
