This thread refers to the various Marriott brands within a specific geographic area. Marriott Bonvoy hotels in XX usually have posts asking which property is better, etc. Trip reports are usually better suited in the property specific threads.

I will be staying in Vancouver for a Saturday through Monday stay in July as a Plat on points. Which of the downtown hotels would be best in terms of breakfast/lounge, and upgrades?
Thanks for your help!

I'm 2/2 on suite upgrades at Parq. They have the best breakfast (in lounge). Sheraton is not as nice but has decent lounge and 2 bedroom suites or small junior suites they can upgrade you to. Marriott Pinnacle breakfast is really poor and they skimp on upgrades.

Anyone know what the lounge access/breakfast situation is for Titaniums staying at the Douglas? I’ve been in the JW a few times, but had to settle for the Douglas next week. Do they have their own lounge, offer access to the JW one, or alternate breakfast arrangement?

Staying over in Vancouver for one night after a long flight before returning to the US - which Marriott branded airport hotel is best for convenience and comfort? It looks like there is at least a Marriott, Westin, Sheraton and Four Points nearby.

Near the airport, the Westin is the nicest and closest, though I usually just go with whichever one is cheapest because the differences are not that large (we usually stay at one the night before an early flight). They all have shuttles, so there's no real difference there.

Stay in December 2019
Wondering if anyone can suggest which property would be best for our stay in Vancouver this coming December, between Christmas and New Year?
It'd be three people in the room: my husband, our teenage daughter and myself.
I am Titanium member, and considering Westin Bayshore and Marriott Pinnacle.
Had stayed at Westin Bayshore many years ago in the summer, but never been at the Marriott Pinnacle.
A few things that I am wondering: room upgrade chance (room size and view), free breakfast, and service.
Thank you.

Marriott Pinnacle standard rooms are tiny and they only have a couple suites. I stayed there for New Years Eve a few years back, at the equivalent of Titanium, and didn't get any upgrade. The room was relatively filthy with hair and stains all over the bed; they apologized and offered a suite, which was nice and clean. Its proximity is amazing for NYE fireworks though since crowds can be congested in that area. Their lounge is usually closed during holiday season or has reduced hours (e.g. just open for breakfast, which is a less than stellar spread).
If I was you, I'd consider Delta Suites (ideal location) or Sheraton Wall Centre (they have a decent number of family suites for upgrades). If it's within your budget, I'd really favor JW Parq or Douglas (best Bonvoy lounge and service in Vancouver). I've had great experiences with both.
