Do you believe loadings have gotten better? like less rejects. It could be combination of the the two factors
1. A lot of fails means a lot of calls and they have to ship new cards etc, costs them money and the decision makers would have realized they have a too tight a criterion. 2. The gift card volume have gone down because of the annoyance and other restrictions from the stores, so the credit issuing banks are not too concerned about it fraudulent activities and may have relaxed the algorithm? |
No success using Staples variable GC for $475. $499 worked at register.
No success at money center. |
I have not exceeded any limitations, but loads of $1000 and $800 to two different cards didn't generate load confirmation email and does not show in account activity (app shows "some features temporarily unavailable" like a weekend update), more than 24 hrs apart, Walmart receipts printed normally confirming the transaction. Should I be concerned?

Turns out it was rutine system maintenance, in the morning the typical email came and balance updated accordingly. I must just be loading at strange times in the middle of the night 😌
|
I have unlimited supply of GCs and loading doesnt seem to be a problem if staying under 498. The problem is I have hit the limit with chase, Citi etc, they will not approve the CCs.
|
Are you talking about the load limit or bonus limit like $25000 for chase ink cash? I would need to know more about your card situation to see why you are getting rejected. Do you mean an unlimited supply of Vanillas from WM or CVS?

Q: Is anyone currently able to add more than $10K/mo to their Discover acct at WM?
Background (and touched upon in this thread's wiki): I was originally able to add up to $20K/mo, but somewhere along the line - approximately Aug 2023 and never put into black and white by Discover - that went down to $10K/mo (at least for many of us). Note that Discover's T&C's at https://bank.discover.com/bankac/pro...sits-transfers still says the monthly limit is $20K. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...b0b35ccd38.png |
I've never been able to load more than 10k a month. I first thought it was because I have 2 checking accounts 10k each. That's not the case, P2-P4 all have the 10k a month limit.

I purchased some $500 Sutton VGCs at the mall and was not able to use them on any of the tax payment sites and registration is not an option.
To load to Discover debit at WM, do I need a PIN? I read that sometimes loads at $500 gets the card locked, is that still the case? When doing the load, do I just tell the cashier that I will be using 2 debit cards, $495 each? |
