however I am recently having a lot of issues with SSVGC even seasoned. Not sure if it’s a wm issue but I’ll keep probing.

I saw a few successful BHN 200 Pathward Staples in the database. So I thought I would give it a go.

That post may have been mine but they were staples online $300 gc’s. I continue to have issues with the yellow BHN $200 gc’s purchased in-store at staples.

Earlier this week, no problem loading 499 at MC at neighborhood market.

Edit: secure spend vgc

HI, all. My SSV flat out failed on me so I would like to get some ideas as to which GEBIT/SSV works at WM while trying to load Discover.

What I tried to use was:
SSV issued by Meta Bank serviced by InComm.
Activation fee is $4.95; BIN 4097; EXP 05/31 type.

I went to MC and their terminal (old type) rejected the GEBIT. All was fine up to swipe, but after the swipe, cashier said "your card is not the type you can use to load this Debit". No word on what type of error code the other side displayed.
I also made a mistake of swiping the same SSV the second time. I also tried "change payment type?" to manually change to "Debit" on the terminal (after SSV was rejected, so go figure).

My concern is if I wait out couple days and try at different WM, would that reset the card? By swiping the same card twice locked my SSV now which require me to call to unlock the card?
Any reply is deeply appreciated.

Try a small $ amount (piece of fruit) at a self-checkout or regular checkout with the SS card to see if it's locked up? I haven't had good luck with them so avoid purchasing in favour of Vanillas. I think $4.95 indicates it's an older card as the purchase price has increased to $5.95 - at least where I am. When all else failed I was able to use the SS Visa to purchase a Vanilla Visa, losing $ in the process, but at least was able to liquidate the Vanilla.

I just loaded Discover today with Vanilla. No problems. I always load just up to the full amount of card minus $1. any time I try full amount it's rejected. You can see data points here and add your own as well.

Thank you for your reply. I was also wondering about the activation fee being cheaper as well. I might use SSV to buy Vanilla like you suggested. At least the WM I went, the cashier was not blocking me to use GEBIT to load Discover, so I want to find the working GEBIT for that store.. Thank you!

Thank you. I will try the Vanilla next to see if that works. Hopefully terminal is not hard coded..

Will these work?

Just wanted to have backup options for the type of GEBIT. The local grocery chain switched to the BHN loadable VISA by Pathward and wondering the success rate of this type, instead of Vanilla?

Thank you. I believe MC is no go then for this card as our area was believed to be hit hard with whalers. I will try Vanilla.

Try $475 loads at MC, think that will work. Then do organic spend to drain the last $25

CVS hasn't been restocking Vanilla VGC's for the past 2 months. I pop in every 2 weeks or so and they say they don't have any. Who know's they may just be lazy and not putting them out.
