I loaded $500 two days in a row (one swipe) Sutton/Incomm
|
OK, am I correct that Secure Spend (SS) Visa doesn't work anymore for full $500 load either for Discover load or MO? I just tried in my WMT and no go. Last time I did load (one swipe $500 or two swipes $500) it without a problem last month (December). If it is true, so I cannot load more than 1 card at any time?

Recieved replacment cards, tried to load 1K to discover, 500 swipe, failed with debit not available.
I had two VGCs bought from the store, tried 498 and it worked on 2 disover cards. Now I think I should have tried replacement cards for less than 500. Did anyone load $998 or $999 each swipe 499 or so? keep it less than 500 and it worked even on the split payments. |

Sounds like they are now locked up
Now that I recall, I tried it within an hour of activation and that could be part of the reason. Pizza might be later than an hour. haha! |

no they are not. only tried one card once and then abandoned the sale. went to Pizza place on the way and ask them to charge $ 1 per card( 4 bucks) just to check instead of checking them online which is pain. it took $ 1, I should be able to load $499, time will tell.

Let us know your $499 DP when you give it a shot, and good luck!
It seems there is no velocity limit etc but loading less than 500 seems to the key determinants. I hope i can do 998 discover load in single transaction with split payment. It will be pain to deal with a buck left on the VGC but it is what it is now. Better than no MS at all. |

If your WM has a SCO, you can use the VGC there and there is a split pay option,
Not sure who is the genius within incomm who thinks 499 is OK but 500 is a fraud marker. |

That's what I do but it is still pain to Mark the VGC and save it for later use etc as opposed to offloading everything and then going in the dustbin.

When you buy the VGC, just buy it for $499, or whatever amount is currently working.

I think the problem is liquidating for max amount. I haven't tried but I suspect if you attempt a $499 swipe on a $499 VGC it will also error out.

Been liquidating $500 without issues.
