What good is demagnetizing? Sure, buyer can't use it but are they putting the cards back in the packaging after demagnetizing?
FWIW - I also just had a vanilla fail at the register, even for organic spend. When I called in, they said card was "suspected of being compromised" and are sending me a new one.

The normal trick the scammers use is to scratch off the numbers, so you can't use it on-line or register it, etc... then they try to drain it before you get a chance to block it. My guess is the scam with superglue on the mag strip, and/or demagnetizing the card is so they can drain it before you figure out it's compromised. That's my guess at least, hard to know what they're really up to.

The "Holiday" Vanillas were working fine for me for loads as of two weeks ago.

That's exactly what happened. December rolled around and it started working again. For me at least the limit seems to be 10k.

Likely would have for me - turns out the GC that I had was flagged for fraud and I had to have a new one issued by Incomm.

Would you share which GCs you used for loading? Thanks in advance!

One other question - do y'all load at the normal register (where they scan groceries) or in the money center? Is there a load option without "human interaction"?

I was able to do my 11th load( $1000/ today with the new discover debit card received after I complained I am not able to load after 10k where the limit seems to be 20k.

If you are using this a/c the way most of us here do, I expect we will soon be reading your posts in the shutdown thread. Very risky business to be calling them up to put eyes on your a/c.

Which VGC do you use for loading?

does your new debit card have a different number than the old? ie, do you now have 2 different debit cards linked to the same checking?

For the last 3 days i am having trouble loading in Walmart, Amex BB/Discover with the SS card issued by Pathward and serviced by Incomm. The card seems to lock up for Fraud and after calling CS and they activate it, goes into the issue again (the second lock up was on 1 card). I tried to use the card in Amazon /tax payment - all no go. Going to try in grocery store for organic spend and see if it works.
Anyone had this issue or it is something new?.

Make sure you do a debit and not credit charge when using your card for organic spend;)

I suspect your card will work just fine on a credit transaction. Let us know how it goes.

Well, 3rd day in WM worked for BB load. This time i loaded a dollar less from each VGC onto BB and also tried on P3 card (hardly use it). For now, cannot confirm anything as there were 2 variables in play (new P3 card and less than full load). Will test next time with the usual and report back.
