Has anyone exceeded the $10K monthly load limit recently? With all the challenges I've been having lately with gift cards, I did not want to swat the hornet's nest.

This could be a tampered card (one of the steps is wiping the strip so it won't work). Did the packaging glue seem different (hard like superglue)? Usually the thieves also scratch out part of the account number so you can't use online, but others do not do this (probably so you don't suspect it was tampered, which gives them more time to drain it).

DP: Tried 2 vanillas today in WM in FL (cards were bought in northeast) for 500 ea. Both failed.

Debit not available Appr. code 05 both times. Even Amazon reloads not working… Going to request new cards despite Vanilla CSR saying cards are fine…. Time to try to find some SSVGCs |
Loaded 499. x 2 on DD and bought one MO for 998 using 2 Vanilla GCs without issue.
Not only do we need to look at the back of the cards for the bank but now $6.95 fees are sneaking in. One of the four I bought had a $6.95 fee! |

Well, I can confirm that no more than $10K can be loaded per month via gebit. I'll give it a try again on the 1st to see if it's per month or per 30 days.

I don't think it's the bank. Lots of DPs around here different banks. I've had a ton of successful Pathward reloads staying at 499 instead of the full 500. Had one fail recently. It was both swiped at full 500 and a Metabank card. I've had enough success with Metabank swiping 499 recently to believe the failure was because I swiped for the full 500

I can’t keep up with what works LOL. Do Secure Spends still work to buy MOs or load DD? I thought back in December they stopped working.
