How did folks liquidate a pathward-card replacement? Still need to spend less than full balance or make a small organic spend first? |

I don't mess with those anymore as both Pathward and SS VGCs are too problematic in my area to be worth the time when I can get issue free Suttons just as easy.

They are available in my area in certain grocery stores, gas stations, drugstores, and wholesale clubs. Even WM has a Vanilla Visa version, but they are out of stock a lot lately in my area.

Well, the 2 SSVGCs (both Meta/Incomms) are being replaced. Tried even to buy something in person at a different store I go to regularly. No go - CSR was kind enough to tell me it was a fraud alert on his end.
Pathward SSVGC loaded just fine. Will try another couple Meta/Incomms tomorrow - since they DID work 3-4 days ago. |
DP:
Tried to load $500 with PW/BHN, 435880, got debit not available, card was activated a week ago. Changed PIN before loading. Did not try again. Instead, had another card which did work (PW/Incomm) Based on what my 2 minutes of searching thread, and this being my first BHN card; appears max you can load onto discover is $480 with BHN? Will try this later in the week or a couple other methods for unloading. |

loaded a full $500 from each?
Hence the fun dp. I really thought the Meta/InComm would screw it all up but I felt like gambling. |

Data point from today in NorCal The cards were:
1. SSV BIN 4097 5817 exp 01/33 which was a replacement for prior failed SSV 2. Vanilla Sutton/Incomm BIN 4118 1038 exp 2/33 which was a replacement for a prior failed Vanilla Sutton/Incomm 3, 4, 5, 6: Vanilla Sutton/Incomms bought in the same transaction a week or so ago, all were BIN 4118 1035 exp 5/32 Cards 1, 2, and 3 failed for $250. Card 4 failed for $100. I gave up and purchased a $12.xx item at SCO. Cards 1-4 failed as expected. Card 5 succeeded. So I went back to MC and tried again: First $500 load: Card 5 succeeded for its remaining $487.xx, then Card 6 worked for $12.xx to total $500. Second $500 load: Card 6 succeeded for its remaining $487.xx and I used a real debit card for the remaining $12.xx to total $500 So maybe the secret as some have suggested is to make a small purchase first, but the small purchase CAN be at MC, not necessarily SCO or a register? And maybe this is just silly, but maybe it helps if the first swipe is not for an even dollar amount so it looks like a real purchase? Fortunately I had a very friendly and helpful CSR who knows what we're doing and even told me that Vanillas don't work & was surprised when the last two did. I'm going to be sure to leave him a good review. |
