Did you attempt the same card and/or same amount seconds before? 11 is a duplication error from what I am aware of.

Hello to the person who unloaded 2k in simon next to me just now 😉
|
I just did my first ever Discover load, $20 from my other bank debit card. It asked me to enter my zip code. That made me wonder:
Is there anything special that I need to do with my VGC or MCGC in order to prepare for a load to Discover at Walmart? For SS and Vani, I think (don't know) that there is no way to assign a zip to them. For GCM I was thinking maybe there is, but I'm not sure (and I'm not sure whether I need to). If nobody knows (or nobody answers), I will test it and let you know. |
standard for Disc loads at WM. You just enter the zip, tell the clerk how much to load and your done. I do 499.00 loads all the time. Zip is required by their software.

Thanks, jeffersun and barrytuneup1!
Loaded $95 from SS MCGC 525362 @money center. This was right after another $95 load from a different MCGC to my ONE card. |

I have posted this several times, maybe the mods can add to the wiki to help others going forward.

Sharing a couple DPs and a question:
DP re: loading limits: I've run into the 10k per month load limit twice, measured on a calendar month basis. I.e. I've been able to load more than 10k on a rolling 30 day basis but not within one calendar month. DP and question re Staples VGC: When I first started loading Discover several months ago, I tried the $200 Staples VGC and was successful with a full $200 swipe one time, and unsuccessful thereafter. Was able to swipe them for $99 at a time. Since then, I've avoided Staples and stick with the EW and 5B from OD. After seeing a couple recent DPs indicating Staples worked, I tried their $200 VCG again with the following results: Day 1 - successful swipe for $200 Day 2 - successful swipe for full $200 x 3 cards (one $600 load) Tried to load P2's account with full swipe on a 4th card and got an error (don't remember the code). Day 3 - tried one $200 card/swipe and immediate error "Debit not available Appr. Code 01" Cashier suggested I try running it for $50, which worked twice, tried to finish the $200 load for $100 and failed. Had her just cancel the transaction at that point, although now I wish I had let her keep putting in 50 just to see if maybe the 3 swipe limit is a myth? I'm guessing $99 would have worked. Have we figured out what the secret sauce is with these? Velocity limit, time limit, register limit? My WM doesn't have a separate money center, and they won't do loads at regular registers, so always loading at CSC. However, today when I was unsuccessful right off the bat, it was a different register than the ones I used on the earlier days IIRC. Maybe some of the CSC registers work differently than others? |
Absent-mindedly, I walked around and attempted to load a card having forgotten my previous load time (<24hrs rolling) and had a bunch of transaction cancel out, which is not a problem with BHN but now my InComm cards are screwed up from too many approvals and reversals...
