Try physically swiping the card faster the next time you get that error message.

Oh, I tried. Over and over. Slow, fast, upward, downward, covered with a plastic bag, multiple cards, multiple registers, multiple stores. Nothing.
If anyone else is still able to use their Metabank Visas, then I know I just got a bad batch of cards. |

I have been using Serve to make payments to Amex CC for several months. I scheduled a payment on Dec 11, similar to some of you it was not posted yet until end of Dec, hought I will wait if anybody comes here with an update. Got a letter and the check (sent by Serve) from Amex CC saying that payment not processed because it was missing the 15 digit A/C no. and check shows to Account #0. I go into Serve, my bill pay, payee and surprise/shock- my saved payees - Amex CC has everything but a blank A/C no .I have no clue, how this happened and in the first place, why wasnt there any error when I attempted to make a bill pay. Called up Serve, long wait (25min), ,explained the situation to the first line of rep - said i could stop the payment but had to be dealt with the Dispute dept and transferred me for another (45min) wait. On transfer, all she said was if you want to dispute, we will send you an email. No case no. or an acknowledgement for the call was given. Crossing my fingers. So, PLS double check your saved payees before submitting any BP. Update 1: got an acknowledgement email saying they are investigating and to wait for another email. |
Is bill pay in Serve still broken with incorrect zip code error? I have not been able to get mine working for days. Tried today and received the same error "Sorry, it looks like the account number or the zip code you entered is incorrect (you may need to enter a 5 or 9 digit zip code number). Please try again."

Update #2 I tried to pay the same bill that got lost the first time, and it looks like it might be lost again. I tripled checked the CC# and it's right. I really don't know what's going on with that one card. It's a chase card number. Will probably have to file another dispute. It's the only card causing an issue.

Does anyone have same issue as me loading Serve @ WalMart or is it just me/my store? Bought a couple of Staple $200 VGC during no fee wk but cant load at walmart, 100 & 200 both failed but FD is no problem. Is it the card (metabank) not accepted at walmart anymore for loading Serve/Bluebird or is it just my store problem? Didnt try MO but didnt want to risk it, Anyone done MO or BillPay as well? Any DP would be greatly appreciated

It is a no-go at most of the MCs. Some had success with check-out lines. |

I had a weird issue at a couple of Family Dollars today. Several Metabank Visa cards had errors reading the magnetic stripe, or at least that's what the error message said. These cards all came from Stop & Shop on the same purchase. A Metabank MC worked just fine. Did I just get really unlucky with a batch of defective cards or is there more going on?
