Split transaction

Does anyone know the maximum number of cards you can split a transaction with? I know I've used 2 cards, but I'm wondering if you can use more (I'm reevaluating my credit limits with some cards to lower them and don't want to max out any of them with my SM purchases).

You can use more than 2. I max out, pay the card early, max out again.

They're very friendly at my Simon mall, but I only do max 4 because of the long receipts that print out for each card. I usually do 2 or 3 cards.

Crazy chargeback story

I'm pretty friendly with the suburb Atlanta area Simons customer service department. While waiting for my cards the manager told me that recently a woman bought $9500 and then tried to dispute the charge with her credit card. She did this two times!

Besides having her signature she didn't know that there was video footage of her buying the cards.

I hope they bring her up on charges for crap like this.

Thanks for the responses. I thought I had done 3 once, but a new lady told me that 2 was the max (I was thinking of doing 3). She also told me it was the law that she give me all 19 GC covers. She then pointed to the trash where I could throw them away.

Has anyone had this issue? I used two cards to fund an online bill payment service, and the funds were denied. I got notification that there was an issue with my transactions and that the funds would be refunded. I had previously been able to check the transaction history, which showed the debit. Now, when I try, the website says card not in system. I called the number and after entering the card information, I was immediately transferred to a representative who said that having a refund puts a block on the card. I've had to open a case to get them unblocked, which supposedly takes one to two business days. Does this sound right? It makes no sense that a card couldn't be used for refunds.

You should ask for a cash refund if you used the card as debit for the original transaction.
