There is a large thread here on FT about this.

Just saw the new Food4Less coupons ICYMI:

- $10 off when you buy 2 overstock.com GC
- $10 off when you buy a 6-month Club Penguin GC
- $5 off when you buy 2 Applebee GC
- $5 off 3 month HULU subscription GC

Not sure if this stuff is regional or nationwide...

Is it worth it to get the Kroger cards to earn SPG points?

Depends on whether you think SPG are worth giving up 2% (or more) using another CC.

I've moved to triple the volume with a 2.5% card netting $6 on each $500 card. Luckily I can still use my ST SM card to BP.

SPG route doesn't seem worth it; it was my BC replacement.

Triple the amount that you did with the OBC?

Wait a minute. I never heard about Goldman being in the MS game, too!

What are the dollar limits on checkfreepay billpay at Kroger? I failed at $4.7k but $2k went through. Also are there daily limits in addition to the per bill limit?

Thanks. BTW, I did try to search the thread before asking.

So I wanted to check out my usual VGC @ Food4Less today. Cashier told me it's policy to not accept CC. She called manager and reconfirmed. Left the card, went around the corner to the next Ralph's and the guy couldn't care less. I've been through this discussion with F4L cashiers quite frequently lately, not worth the hassle for me anymore. Will be shopping at Ralph's from now on after I got my groceries from F4L ;-)
Anybody else having these issues lately?

I live in the Pacific NW and buy from Fred Meyer. Have no problem with the purchase of visa gift cards. However, I was turned away twice from different FM's when seeking to purchase a MO.

Was just shown a memo at Fred Meyer (Kroger) today that said variable Visa/MC will be cash only starting 1/1. Memo also included limits on GC purchases (2K at the register, up to 10K at Money Services, but emphasized *cash only* for all variable Visa/MC ). They claimed it was sent from Kroger corporate (not Fred Meyer).

Oh man, please tell me this won't trickle down to Ralphs! It's so convenient to have Ralphs and Target directly next to each other in 2 different locations here... It would confirm the problems we had at Food4Less during the last couple weeks though
