Same thing here. My DFW store normally replenishes on Thursday but has not restocked the past 2 weeks. I've been checking 4 stores that are within a few miles and only one of the four had any (and just a few at that which I cleared out). And all this when I have 3 new Citi Exec cards to hit min spend on.

Add AUs and ask them to keep a look out at CVSs for VR's.

Well I just checked my secret stash location and they have had hundreds over the past few months and as of now completely bone dry. I have never seen them so empty.

If they dont come back, buy the OV and get a MO via WM. That was my 2nd plan that has worked well.

One more data point: I don't think very many people around me play this game, and I only play lightly (meeting minimum spends). I've never really had trouble finding VRs in the 3 or 4 stores around me. I checked 3 yesterday, and only 1 had any.

I too am wondering if it's a supply/corporate stocking issue, or if the AA executive card is really driving demand.

If it was only the AA card, its alot worse as many folks need to spend $25K on their Chase UA CC as well to get a wavier from having to meet the min Spend $$$s that started up 1/1/14 in order to maintain Silver or Gold or Platinum status with UA

Many folks I know want to get that $25K done ASAP least their Chase UA CC gets closed on them or VRs become only ca$h all over

At worst I'll do my five walgreens loop that takes about 30-45min to score $2500 VGCs every so often

Seems like the issues with availability are regional from what I've read here. I'm in Palm Beach County Florida and I have 11 CVS within 7 miles of my work. I've only had to go to 4 of them so far and all had VR and VGC in stock

All of them have VGCs but don't have VRs which sucks since that is what I use for MSing.

same here... the location that has always had it in stock for me ever since it came out today had none in stock, and the employee said a lot of people come by asking about them every day.

All the Walgreens around me (Midwest) are hard coded for cash only.

Bought the last 4 VRs at my local CVS. I mentioned these were the last 4 and the cashier sighed, shook her head and said "We just can't keep enough in stock. Everyone used to want Moneypaks. Now everyone wants Vanilla Reloads. I don't know why." I just wished her a nice day and moved along.

I was in Tampa for the weekend and the CVS near downtown (between 3rd and 4th near USF) had lots.

Hey folks, apologies if this is wrong location but some of the people here seem highly knowledgeable. Question: if I set up an Amex BB acct in my kids names is it a bad idea to buy VR's with my card, deposit the money in kids BB accts and pay my cc bill from the kids accts? Trying to do 4 citi exec cards in two months. Two for my wife and two for me. Using kids info i set up a total of 4 bb accts to get around $5k monthly limit. Any help appreciated.

The CVS in Manhattan I've been going to for the past few months has been dry for the past few weeks too, but I haven't checked this week yet. Wonder if it's a corporate decision or just a weird anomaly.
