Don't really care. Lol. If they told IRS I was buying $XXk a month, I'd just throw my box of records at them and give them access to my credit records. "Have fun matching the two".

There's nothing illegal about what we do. Just be sure to keep records.

In no way do I imply that this is illegal. I am just saying that this has the "potential" of becoming similar to the situation where citi started claiming that AA miles were taxable because they were obtained as a "checking account signup Bonus. Granted the IRS wasn't even on board with that scam but nonetheless it happened. All I'm saying is that "potentially" any of the players in the MS game could one day start doing this that's all.
And yes, I do keep good records :-)

If the AA miles were given as a Bonus for opening a new checking account, they can be considered a business expense.

Haven't heard of that debacle... but checking account bonuses I've gotten have always generated 1099s.
The name of the game is RISK! There will always be risk, all we can do is keep good records and keep playing the game.

Yup!

I think the dropout rate is relatively high. Just takes 1 time of losing your concentration and misplacing a $500 GC that someone realizes its not for them.

+100! Yes, I'm juggling 3 Citi AA 100K sign-up's now. Minimum spend has been completed now it's getting all those beans into Fort Knox little by little and then pay off the Statement. Gotta keep track of those VR cards & the MVD's. I have nice clear cases for all of them.
I still haven't heard a confirmed data point on what's the max per transactioin & daily max for Cash Advances off a MVD. I stick to $2.5K per card per day.

Update: My secret store in DFW had another good source of BBs today. Some at register, some on the rack. I would guess about 50 cards. So no fear of my store.

Your store had a run on BBs?

Holy **** these are hard to find now! Never had a problem until starting about 2 weeks ago. I just bought the last 2 that someone hided. Checked about 10 stores before I got these, every other one is OOS (or hided good). This is definitely the Citi Exec card's doing...

Apparently it's opposite month, because supplies are extremely plentiful in NYC, which always used to be a desert... and hard to find everywhere else (where it used to be easy).

Ha! I stopped looking in the stores in NYC because I declared the dead for VR. I guess miracles do happen. Going to my main store tomorrow to check on the supply.

Found some at my 6th store today in DFW. I was going to share, but realize that people hide these or do other things to prevent others from getting. I will only share the location I found today after I read history and believe you share the wealth.

hitman1420 Feb 20, 2014 9:12 pm

Ugh, VR now requires a captcha code. Cue another minute of my life gone.

Certainly not trying to rain on your parade, but in the 5 stores I cycle through, there has been literally 400-500 (combined) on the shelves, and I have good relationships with all the managers and they will order more if needed. The desert has an oasis in my neck of the woods.

Only one has been out, and it is one that didn't even have reloads until 3 months ago and I only check there as a back-up since it's by my house. Go 2 miles down the same road, and Nirvana appears.

Yeah just saw that. Ugh and it won't let me load more than $1500 to PPD today. Problems!
