Damn that sucks. Might have to try out my local CVS and maybe buy 5k before it goes cash only. This sucks. Good thing I held off applying for the second Citi AA exec and already met the min spend on my current one

I think he mentioned that date because that's when the policy is supposed to go into effect.

CVS now $5k/day

I was given the email from corporate by my favorite cvs today, this is real and this is likely nation wide.

Store #1 wouldn't allow me to buy today with CC, showed me email

Store #2 didn't know a thing about the new policy and happily sold me 5k

Just because the clerks don't know the change is coming means nothing

Very likely the case IMO.

It would be super interesting if CVS corp knew they needed a revenue bump to make the quarterly street consensus numbers and leaked that email on purpose, but I seriously doubt it.

In March, I closed my BB to open a Serve account. I just closed the Serve account ... reopened a new Serve account via ISIS. I'm waiting for my permanent card to arrive.

My permanent Serve card won't arrive until Wed. or Thurs. When I get the card, I'll load my haul of $5K of VR's (bought today).

I'm on the fence on whether to buy another $5K of VR's as I won't be able to load this until May 1st (because of Serve monthly limits).

I'm contemplating closing Serve and opening a BB -- so I can load the $5K earlier.

Will AmEx care about how many times I've opened and reopen Serve / BB accounts (in such small time period)?

CVS stops selling VR and Cigarettes? Can you imagine what the revenue differences will be? Mind boggling. Loading up my JH, Amex PP, Emerald, etc. today and tomorrow.

Hahahahahahaha!

Anyone wanna start listing their fallback plans now? AP, GC's, etc.?

And, I like what someone mentioned earlier....how is it the bloggers haven't written about this? Is this an alternate universe until they do?

Seems like there's no mention of the memo in CA so far.

Nothing as of Friday. I put down 5k on Friday.

If true, I guess that the lines at the Walmart service desk might get a little longer. I am lucky, I can stop at 4 different Walmart's on my daily commute.

While being a little disappointed, I am looking forward to only serious/motivated types being able to take advantage of the manufactured spend game.
