Sorry if discussed previously - trying to load a chase GC to my MVD today, WM Kiosk stated $3.74 fee to reload - is this new? Never had a fee before.... Kiosk was acting odd (don't they always) and I'm not in my local area where I normally do (Currently in Tampa). Any feedback greatly appreciated

I had a PIN transaction denied. Called CS and they said I had exceeded "the $8000 weekly PIN-based transaction limit" (...?).
They suggested I could do "credit" transactions, which have a separate $6000 weekly limit. Anyone else ever bump into these limits... or even know these limits existed? Man o man I can't wait until the first of the month :) The end of the month is always killing me. Did the Vanilla CSR mention if the week was a Mon-Sun sort of thing, or if you have to wait 7 days after my first debit transaction? EDIT: Looking at my balance sheets, after posting this message, I see that I am not near 8k for the week. I would have been just over 6k had the transaction been approved. Weird. |

... I assume you had a tiny slip of paper come out of the receipt printer that read "debit not available appr. code = 51"? Thats what my slip says.

even if you did .70 per $500 MO, you would still be cutting your fees because as far as I know, that MVD load fee has been present at WM. Pay $ 1.40 per $1000 or $3.74 x 2 + .70.
Sorry for the significant redactions. Security is of upmost importance on the farm. I hope you can decode the method and utilize it for your benefit. |
Absolutely incredible puzzle to save $0.70.
You have used the coupon or something? Gosh. |
Yes, inquiring minds what to know...

Instead of paying .70 for a $500 MO or .70 for a $1k MO, the best option is to pay no fee for a $1k MO. That is how we do things here in the barn.http://i40.tinypic.com/2e3zrzc.jpg

I know Western Union employees can get MOs for free. One lady at a grocery store accidentally hit the Employee key when ringing me up and it didnt add a MO fee. She realized something wasnt right, cancelled the transaction and rang me up proper.

I tried asking for the "Barnyard" discount, but they looked at me like I was nuts.

I think the former limit is based on a rolling week; I think the latter limit is based on a calendar month. |

Perhaps things have changed recently, but I can confirm that the current weekly POS limit is $8K and the monthly limit is $10K.
