This is for purchases- the ATM limit is $1000 per day, I don't recall what cash advance or transfer limits are.

For the person who posted asking about leaving a card idle, no fees as long as you have activity in a 90 day period (load or spend); after that it's something like $3.95 or $4.95/month.

The idle fee is $3.95 a month but does anyone know if it is charged if you have a zero balance?

I had a 50¢ debit card fee charged the next day when I loaded, since the transaction that incurred the fee was for my exact full balance and zero'ed out the card. Therefore I suspect they come back and collect it retroactively the next time you load.

Yes. it would have a negative balance. If you will never use the account I guess eventually the account would be shut down and the fee being written off. If you continue to use the account, the negative balance would be offset by your next load.

@rdover1 ... lol....:D thanks for the information. I think I am closing in myself for the first card closure.

First time using MVD - I don't have Walmart near me, but can I somehow get the $ on to Bluebird? If not, what is the best way to cash out?

If you can successfully link your MVD to your BB (Not sure that can even be done without trigger your BB being suspended), you can use the new feature of online load limited to $100 per day and $1000 per month. Otherwise there is no any other way to move the fund from MVD to BB.

The other method would be the Cash Advance at the bank. Read this thread from March onward and you would know how and the potential peril associated with it.

Of course you also can use it as a debit card to pay your taxes and other bills that it costs less fee to use a debit card than a credit card.

I'd also direct to grocery store to buy some MOs...
OR pay bills via 7-11's Vcom atm (not cheap $2 for 1k).

I've been using it since March 3-4 times a week for CAs with only a minor bump in the road.

I've got a WM near me in Pinellas county that doesn't charge a fee either.

So you basically keep adding $500 with the 3.95 fee?

Huh? There is no fee to load.

wcj Oct 23, 2013 11:07 am

I think he's referring to the VR fee, which is $3.95/$500. Of course, if you are not paying any fee, (not merely offsetting) then I'm all ears, lol.

I lost my third MVD card today. Wife had two that were in her name shut down at the same time. Sad day.

Any data points of people having three MVD shut down and being able to get another MVD (4th)?
