I noticed one of my MVD's changed to "monitored" yesterday like many others recently. I haven't read up on this so I assumed it was better than "on hold". I loaded more to it and attempted a CA. Didn't work. Called MVD and was given 48 hours to remove funds like my others that were "on hold". CSR suggested ATM - lol yeah right.

Question for everyone: has anyone loaded more in this 48 hour period and removed the funds? I figure I have one last successful CA left so I want to make the most of it. TIA.

Did they change the status from 'monitored' to 'active'?

Had the same experience. A few months of zero fee (not even the 50 cents) then yesterday $1.95 (which is what it should be).

Haven't tried, but if it were me (and it likely will be before too long) I'd go ahead and jam it as full as possible before doing the CA.

Of course, if you have other MVDs, you may be jeopardizing their status by pushing hard on this one.

Blargh. Here's a lesson for you all, as learned by me.

Don't let your account balance go above $10k. Period. No exceptions! Over a period of a few days I added money to my account using vanilla reloads. Also, I initiated transfers to the account from amazon payments. The VR loads are instantaneous, but the AP transfers are not. Yesterday, I loaded with VR, and made a large purchase (tax payment). Everything we OK until this morning, when I couldn't log in, and trying to reset my password showed that my account was inactive.

A long call to customer service followed (1hr 1min). Since the purchase I made was only initiated, not completely settled, the amount was not yet fully removed from my balance. Before the transaction settled, money from AP was transferred into my account, taking the total balance to 10,500, and causing the issues.

Since they can't re-activate my account until the transaction settles, they told me to call back "in a couple days" if I still cannot log in online.

The T&C spell out no balance of $10k or over.
Unfortunate that timing of in and out screwed you.

I had 7 MVDs. 2 were shut down a month ago and one will be shut down tomorrow. 4 left. I think they will shut them down for abuse of each one. Not for abuse on others.

Actually, one was put on hold with $7 like a month ago. I never called on it. I think I'll call about it, try to get it active for 48 hours, load it to $5K and remove the funds.

This game is slowly dying for me.

They told me that I need to remove my money in 48 hours. I still have 500$ in my account. What will happen if I dont remove my money in 48 hours? Will I lose 500$ if I dont remove it in 48 hours?

Okay, let me get this straight: You're on FT and upset about how much time people have to complain? Ah, irony, I am basking in your warmth.

I'm confused but would like to understand. How did you have seven MVDs when the limit per person is three cards?

Just a guess, but more than 1 person in the household ;)

My Vanilla debit

(2.99 < 3.95) AND (T&C != reality) AND (no vr = no high balance = no shut down issues)

jewsus Apr 18, 2013 7:22 pm

There was a time when you could get as many as you want. I wish I registered 50 of them.

I was able to load more and CA today. If it's still active tomorrow I'll do it again.
