My MVD card was put on hold today. They told me they would mail me refund check within 7 days.
Anybody tried to open a new card few months later after suspension? Can I open a card for my wife?

You can try and see. It's not like a hard inquiry is at risk.

You can certainly apply for your wife.

If you reapply again, please keep us posted here on the progress.

I know that I can reapply. I wanted to know about anyone's experience.
By the way - they unhold my card for 48 hrs to let me withdraw funds.
Can I do 2 $2500 POS transactions in one day?

There should be no reason why you can't open a card for your wife. She was not the one that had the account closed. They should have no record of her ever being a card holder so it would probably be no issue at all. Good luck!

They unlocked my account for 48 hrs and told me to withdraw all funds within 48 hrs. They said they will close my account in 48 hrs and if I have some funds left - I will never receive them back. Do you think it is legal???

Is there any limit how many CA per day I can do? I will try to load and unload all my VRs tomorrow while my card is active.
What is the limit for the amount of CA?

That us in some of the card literature, but most of us found that the cash advance limit was simply the balance on the card, i.e., there was no real limit. But things change constantly with this card and it may depend on how the bank codes the transaction - pin or no pin.

+1, last week I took a CA of $3900. I have heard others taking a CA of even 8K. Make sure the bank does it as a CA without pin.

I wonder if people that have been banned would give more information about their usage patterns.

For example, any real purchases made with the card?

Cash advance use? If yes, PIN-based or non-PIN?

Money order use?

Did you leave money in the account so that they could assess their fees? Or did you clean out the account and go negative on balance at any time?

I was doing loads almost every day (2x$500) and CA 1-2 times per week ($2500). It took them 3 months to lock my account.
I didn't get any charge on my account.
