That's a record. I do not think anyone has been shutdown after their first load. Did you buy a MVD temp card, registered online and then try to CA it? or you got the MVD permanent card, loaded with VR and then got shutdown?

Do you have any other prepaid cards from Bancorp?

If so, that was fasts - one day. Bought a $500 MVD, withdrew $300 yesterday and $180 today, can't log in now.

Wait a bit, try again. Their system is flakey.

But if you still can't get in, yeah, you've likely been .... down

The account status generally refers to the permanent card, so it means you haven't received and activated it yet, probably. You're just using the temp card, right?

I have 1 other registered (i.e. got in the mail w/ name on it and everything) MVD that I got about 4 or 5 months ago and haven't used since. Bought the 2nd MVD yesterday because the CVS had no VRs, just the full cards, so I took the fees and got that. Then like I said...registered online and set up the PIN, withdrew $300 yesterday (limit), and then $180 today, and couldn't log in. Was going to get another VR from CVS since I found a bunch and cleared the charges with Chase, but nervous now because of this. Might do a gift card sell on plasticjungle or something for the rest of the spend on my card (around $480).

Thoughts?

Account status = "monitored"?

Anyone seen that before? Just did a load then CA a few minutes later (CVS across the street from my bank). Checked just before the CA and status was "active". Just reloaded a few VRs and now "monitored".

Seems like my days are numbered. Too bad, I'm going on vacation for a couple of weeks and the activity would have zeroed for a while.

Mine was "monitored" yesterday. Called and was told it was being shut down in 48 hours. Logged back in today and it's "active." System is flakey.

As I believe somebody previously reported, MVD seems to now be taking $1.95 for cash advances. The history on this was that they charged 50 cents, and then didn't charge anything for several months.

Is the $1.95 spelled out somewhere, or is this a random, mysterious fee?

So a cash advance is "an over-the-counter cash withdrawal"? Makes sense. I guess they finally figured out how to apply their own fee schedule.

I think we'd all be happy to continue to pay it, if they would only let us. :)

OK, here is my situation. I used to buy (I think 3 times) MOs at Walmart for about $4,000 on each trip. Now, however, it kicks out my MVD even though there is enough money on it. Is this WM's doing or what? Tried going back next day, same thing. What's up?

To follow up on that - I went to a different WM and had no problem using the card. When I went back to the original WM to use my card, it was declined. I then tried a different MVD which I haven't used at that WM before and transaction went through fine. This clearly shows that WM banned my first MVD for a stupid reason of simply being suspicious about my activity with it. Anything I could/should do or just let it go so they don't contact other WMs in the area not to sell me MOs anymore?

How do you know it's WM and not MVD blocking that particular WM?

Nothing whatsoever shows up on my MVD account and I've used my cards there before just fine.

I just don't see WM blocking a card. I could be wrong but I can't see why they would bother or care if you were buying MO's.

If they were SARS suspicious, the gummint doesnt want WM to stop you from digging a deeper hole. It has to be on the MVD side.
