Haven't seen a shutdown here for a few weeks.

I know 3 more people who were put on hold over the last week or so.
Not much reason to post it here they said even though 2 have login ids.

I have 4 friends and relatives that have been shut down on HOLD now for over a month with No Progress at all or change at all even after providing required docs.

This includes multiple emails, faxes and calls all with no replies of any kind even with multiple contact info provided. It appears the only way to even get them to talk to you is to call and play the long hold times and back and forth on hold with no results other than someone saying they will write up a new ticket. All 4 have filed BBB and Att. Gen office complaints which I told them is really the only way to get an answer IMHO. At least a real answer you can believe. Amazing that they can get away with this.

I bet if it happened to someones kids in college on 60 Minutes there would be something done.

Based on my experience and that of another poster who PMed me, if you file a complaint with the FDIC (as I wrote earlier in the thread), Bancorp will overnight your funds. In fact, I even received a letter of apology yesterday in which Bancorp wrote that it was supposedly sorry its CRs had provided incorrect or inconsistent information on the time frame for refunds. It also stated new training measures are being implemented, which could explain why many people are now being given 48 hours to cash out their accounts, instead of the three-to-four-week-wait-or-longer nonsense that had been the norm.

As usual, the problem is rooted in bad programming and poor training. Not CSR fault.

Got my check yesterday.

Was shut down last week in March and provided documentation the following day.

Glad I added a few thousand after the card was locked down.

Wouldn't have been nearly as glad if I didn't get my money for over a month.

How many times did you have to call?

They had my 3.3k for about 1 month, got fed up getting run around from them. Filed complaint with FDIC and bam 2 business days later check in mail. Maybe coincidence, but know at least one other poster here filed with FDIC and got check in 3 days. Easy form to fill out online

Thats so weird. I was shut down as well but they sent my check within 10-12 days. Already got all my checks and cashed them. Sorry to hear there is no resolution with your accts.

The CC activity had never been charged a fee until last day or so when .50 charges started to show up for usage. Will try CA in next day or so. Wonder how long before I too am shut down.

CA on Monday and pin based bill payment yesterday plus some reloads both days and card is still active status.

For those of you with closed accounts, could you give an amount that you were cycling either weekly or monthly? Since I am still active, I would prefer not to post specific details yet. Thanks!

me too!

Few have account closure issues, the real reason is still unclear to me.

People who did CA.. did you guys leave a dollar or two in the account for the fees? I am thinking folks did the CA on the entire amount and left nothing for the fees..

I always left enough in the accounts to cover fees - granted, that was when fees were 50 cents.

I called to confirm they got my SSN and DL the next day. Then I called 5 days later to see if I was getting kicked out. They still hadn't decided. Called the next day, found out I was, and was told 3 to 4 weeks, but she would request it be overnighted for free. Then, I just waited. A friend that was banned at the same time called a few times. He got his check a day before mine. So, my experience is that calling didn't get him his check faster than me, and definitely raised his aggravation.

In another week, I would have filed the FDIC complaint. Those CSRs are powerless.

I don't know what to do about my still-active MVD accounts. I guess I'll just load and unload (on weekends) until I get shut down. It kind of seems inevitable.

I'm in the same boat. I haven't used mine in over a month, figured I might as well load it up and ride it while I can. Besides, it's time to pay taxes anyhow. I only got a few $k through the WFPP because I was taking it slow and easy. Didn't matter since I got shut down anyhow.

My plan with an acquaintances account is to load Fridays and Saturdays, and then pull all but $2, to cover the CA fee. When I see the account on hold, with 5 cents in it, we will stop. No reason to call then. They can have the 5 cents.
