Accounts on hold for weeks after providing DL and SS photos of cards and long phone holds to say they are writing up a ticket and yet nothing gets done. I wrote complaints for 5 family members and friends to the BBB and the State Attorney Generals Office Consumer Division about this Incomm and how they have a pattern of abuse holding people money from Netspend and Mio Cards now to MVD. It doesn't bother me to wait but I am not even going to tell family and friends about cards anymore because then they think I should file the complaints. I wouldn't have much money on the card if you can't afford to have it tied up for a few months and don't mind the hours of phone calls and letters

Next time, don't bother with the BBB. They have all the leverage of your grandmothers knitting group.

I know the above is true, but I've still had instances where I was beating my head against a wall contacting the company for week (most recently regarding a rebate check), until I gave up an filed a BBB complaint. A week or two later, lo and behold, response came with a check in the mail.

Totally untrue. They have far less influence than granny's knitting group. And my grandmother passed away decades ago.

Today is first day of April and I feel like a fool! MV has froze my account and put it under review. I am being instructed to make copies of drivers license and SSN card and will not be able to deposit or withdraw until their investigation is complete.

I am told by supervisor that I used the MV incorrectly and against the Terms & Conditions. I reviewed the T&C and could not find anywhere stating that funding by Vanilla Reloads, ATM withdrawals or even cash advances to be illegal.

Total BS, for $50 can file in Small Claims Court in addition to lodging complaint with State Attorney General's office. But is it worth it? Requested to have card cancelled and issue check and was told that would be illegal!?! Also researched FDIC and they do not fall under their protection!?

So after spending over $4k on VRs, I still have no miles posted and more than half of my money is in limbo. And we are the ones doing illegal activity!?! Sorry, just had to rant :mad: I think I am done with this game, credit card offers are more fun and useful.

Just relax, take your (temporary) beating like a man.

Sorry about the misfortune. Is Load/CA/ATM withdraw all you have done?

Weird. I had to call MVD because I thought that some Vrs hadn't been credited. Turns out that they had been. However, the CSR told me that my card was being frozen and shut down. Said I could expect a refund in 3-4 weeks. Spoke to a supe who said he would leave my account open for 48 hours so that I could CA all the funds out.

Strange thing is that the card is still open.

And I ran another $2k through it inside of the 48 hours. LOL

This is definitely a game where YMMV.....a lot! I have had luck on some cards whereas as others like MV I have not. I believe I will not make the same mistakes next month but I probably will keep low for now. The main reason I see this system works best is to reach spending minimums on credit card bonuses.

I was just hoping on something that would be quick and easy but this takes some serious time and dedication to it. Just hope others can learn from my newbie churning mistakes, that's all. Following up later is frustrating and others have pointed out it can be a PITA.

Maybe I am just old fashioned but when I buy something, I like to believe I am a valued consumer and not assumed to be a criminal!

If they thought you were a criminal, they do not have to return (or allow you to obtain) your funds.

They just find us risky and unprofitable.

Close enough to a criminal to them.

I'll be jumping into this VERY slowly and with eyes wide open.

I went ahead and cancelled my my card today, I was on hold for several minutes while they cancelled the card. After coming back on the phone was asked why I wanted to cancel and where and how much money I had loaded on the card. I had done $1000 on VR the CA. I told them I do not remember how much money I had put on and I wanted to cancel as I did not want to get hit with the dormancy fee. The whole call seemed odd, why ask me about where and how much I loaded on the card?

Considering you could have called the number on the back of the card to get your balance and then bought a MO to drain it for @$1, I cannot believe you would actually call to cancel the card.
But, that is what makes the world go round.

Has anyone been shot down for reloading MVDs and liquidating solely by purchasing money orders (without taking cash advances)?
