After they tell you to remove your cash in 48 hours, you try to load? why?

only guessing, but from reading 'upthread' some reports of being able to load and unload during that time frame (and the account was being closed anyway).

Yeah, plus your account says Active. You could say you confused it with one of your other 12+ accounts you manage if they call to question your actions :)

What does your account status say? If it is active, it should still load.

Might be just connection issue or user error (typo on the numbers for example.)

And what is the issue? It is better you cannot load as versus you can load but cannot cash out!

I also tried to load my "monitored" MVD after calling in and then cash advancing all the funds off my card. My card says "active" and I double checked my VR number. They must have updated their software to no longer allow loads during the 48 hour period.

I loaded 5k after CA'ing the initial balance during my 48 window.

The limit is $9,999 for a cash advance inside the bank.

Does it mean that when they close your account, they just give you 48hrs to move money.. they no longer require you to fax in copy of ssn / ID and wait 1 month to be mailed a check.. ?

No. Their response is random.

I was using my MVD for regular large purchases at WM, never did a CA. Yesterday, I loaded $2K of VRs and account status is "monitored". Wasn't able to make any purchases. Is it a bad sign or it should be back to "active" in 48 hours?

"Monitored" means that InComm has already decided to close your account. You can still load VRs, so if you want to maximize your points you can load until your account is in the range of $9500 to $9999.

Then you can call in and they may require you to send in a copy of your driver's license and social security card or they may just reopen your account for 48 hours to allow you to empty your account.

Partially answered above, but the limit to get a CA at a bank is basically what you can put on the card. The limit to load is $2500, which is why people are doing $2500 CAs. I have been getting the $1.95 fee.

Haven't done these in a few months, but my strategy was buying and CAing the initial load at bank teller, never activating the perm card... did about a half dozen this way and never heard anything...

Does anyone else think that maybe MVD got jumpy in March after the details of the $45 million ATM heist in February spread?

When i got my account released for 48 hours i asked the rep why it would be closed. She said and i quote "we dont allow see transctions or activities where you are changing one for of money into another." I pressed her for clarification but she wouldnt bite.

Seeing how CA are charged a fee amount no other transaction is being charged its pretty clear they are aware of (or can very easily figure out) what certain certain customers and groups are doing. Plus when you have the bloggs giving them a virtual walk-thru of the churn no one should be surprised or wonder why the sky is falling.
