Applied online. Received the card today which is less than a week. Try to activate online and by phone. No luck as my PIN is invalid. I am sure I know what PIN I used. Talk to CSR and answered all questions except she said the birthday I gave her on the phone doesn't match her record (everything else did). I told her I gave her the correct birthdate and perhaps the person received the wrong info on the other end. She said I needed to fax additional documents before she can activate my card.

I told her it is way too much of a hassle and to just delete all my personal info associated with my application so I won't have a chance of anyone hacking in their system. She said she wasn't able to so I asked for the supervisor. Supervisor closed my account and said all info was gone now. I could no longer log on which is good.

I can't believe all this happened for a lousy debit card. Cut it up and it is in the trash.

It is quicker to send a fax than to buy 8k in VR's a month and liquidate cash. Id send a fax anyday to have the ability to earn another 8k miles/pointsmonth

A little late now but CSR irritated me. I have my AMEX BB for 5k per month. I also registered for my Go Bank for more bill payment. Never bought Green dot moneypak before but hope i can purchase with a credit card.

Good luck with GoBank and Green dot moneypak. I believe only some Rite Aide would take CC. It is the only genre that CVS insists Cash Only. We already know Walgreen's policy.

They would be proven far more difficult than MVD and far easier to be shut down.

You probably forgot what PIN you have chosen - better to write it down somewhere should you not use your normal regular PIN, using some riddles.

BTW if VR is readily available, there is nothing could beat MVD when used correctly.

I only plan to use my Go Bank account for bill payment, not to withdraw cash from the ATM or transfer to my bank account.

I should buy a money order just now and my car came back as "insufficient funds". I then drove down the street to another store and try to do another transaction and it too was declined. I check my MVD account and it still says active with more than enough balance left on the card. I purchased money orders the other day with no problem. I'm not going to call but I fear that the 3 figure debit limit that someone mentioned a little while ago might have been placed on my card.
I haven't tested the credit or CA feature on this card yet…

Around here they go as high as 1k but I usually opt for two. :cool:
Getting $500 MOs at a time would get old with me real quick.
In a lot of places the limit for MOs is $500 though. :(

Yes, and it costs a little more than $2 (can't remember the exact amount) per load.

Did you load MVD using a debit card (gift card with pin) from walmart? I checked MVD website and they only have 2 ways to load the card, VR and direct deposit.

I run out 5K BB limit within the first week of the month and this could be interesting.
