Since he doesn't need to transfer the money to his bank account right away, will I still be able to send the money via my CC to his amazon account? Thanks!

yes and no.

they can receive money, but cannot withdraw without verification beyond $500.

im not sure what the limit is for receiving without verification (if there is one).

verification does not take long and most people probably don't just want their money sitting in AP to get possibly captured in the midst of tribunals.

Can you use multiple gc’s of a small amount ($50) on AP in one day to pay one friend? Anything to be wary of?

Was going to ask the same question. We've all been busy at OfficeMax last night!

Did 10 OM MC's successfully on a new receiving AP account (legit). Not sure if it's because bank account is still verifying, but had to 'Claim' each payment on the receiving account after I was done. No hold if input incorrect exp and change afterwards. Registered them all online just in case on the online website, but might not be required, not sure...

Just out of curiosity, how do you know you've been shut down when you're shut down?

I just added a third account and am going A to B to C (not circling back). But I think I'm pushing my luck with the third account. The third account has a unique and valid name, address, SS#, DOB and bank account, but the billing address of the attached credit card is NOT the same as the address of the third account (in fact, the address of the attached credit card is the same address as account A). So, I'm somewhat concerned that Amazon is going to shut that third account down (hopefully not the other two though) and I'm curious what to expect when that happens.

I see one of the blood sucker blogs has tried to blow up AP like Vanilla posting pictures again with the stupid screen shots and arrows and crap. Sure wish somebody could do something about that

I resent your anger towards mms. Not everyone is an early adopter and no one has a right to limit info, except here lol.

I have somewhat freely rotated credit cards among different accounts. Right now, I have a friend whose account I manage, and sometimes I run one of my credit cards through his account. In the past, I have had credit card accounts with my address, and some with my parents' (where I was an AU), and not had problems. I doubt that will be a flag for AP.

You've added one credit card to two different Amazon accounts without any problem?

nicemann Jan 17, 2013 9:05 pm

I read over the pages since the first of the year so hopefully I did not miss this.

Since they started to require SSNs can you have more then one account under the same SSN?

Here's what I would like to do:
One account under my SSN (email address 1) - sending to my wife
Another account under my SSN (email address 2) - sending to my email address 1
One account under my wife's SSN - sending it to my email address 2

My email account 1 and my wife would have the same bank account different CC, but my email account 2 would have a different bank account and different CC then the other 2.

Sound like it would fly? I use Amazon all the time and would hate for the accounts to get locked.

If not could I just send $1,000 from my 1st account to my wife's and then she sends $1000 back to me with a credit card after she cashes out the one I sent her?

A simple A-->B-->A transfer is relatively dangerous (even if she's cashing out the original funds you sent). I personally wouldn't do it....

+1. completely agree.

this exact scenario has been discussed at nauseum.

while some may be continuing this scenario, it's not adviseable (imo).

it's one of those ......proceed at your own risk (but know it's extremely risky).

Okay so then I won't do that. Guess setting up a second account for myself is out of the question.

Been doing this for awhile, as have others, with no problem. Do what you feel comfortable with.
