I tried to sign my non-USA citizen husband up and they won't take him because no SSN. I tried putting in 999-99-9999 and thought it went through, then got a message that they couldn't verify "certain details". Why is AP only doing business with US citizens? They ship all over the world! Any work-arounds (PM me if it's sensitive). I have no one else but him that I would trust to send $1000 to.

Those folk should buy a GC from Amex through Bigcrumbs and link the GC to AP. For those that need a guide for this check out my post on using it for giving loans, same principle but you cash out to yourself instead. Post Link

Get cashback on the purchase and cash it out over 3 months (if they need to meet the full 3K).

Has there been a follow up on using the Amex Platinum for this? I think there have been a few members that have used their Plat card and have not been able to meet the min spend.

is this your possible issue?

both address's are the same for AP account and bank. what else could they not be matching up?

If you don't quote it, it helps to edit it.

i assume you have different bank accounts for each individual?

Could I possibly setup another amazon account with a new email with my "spouses" bank account?

All different banks, all different addresses. Been doing it for about 1.5 yrs. just seeing wat ppl think since I dont follow this thread.

I also mix up the order every month.

What would stop anyone from using that SS number and avoid any of the legal reporting requirements ($20K and 200 transactions)?

Anyone have trouble using a Chase business card? The payment went through according to AP and my mom is waiting the "5 business days" for it to appear in her bank account. However, when I log into my chase account, it does not appear in my "Account Activity". I did the payment on 1/22 if that gives a frame of reference. Thanks

for all different people with all different SS#'s, correct.

of course, different people, different addresses, different banks, different emails and different SS#'s will take longer to trip wires (if ever, imo).

Well, if it was me, I'd go Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Delta... Cardinals are less likely to pick up on Greek pattern. :)
