Has anyone done Amazon payments with a platinum? I read that sometimes you get charged a cash advance. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

I haven't, I don't think that is the best use of 1K spend. Would rather put in on card I am meeting threshold on, have a timed bonus on and failing that the SPG.

AP and AMEX Gold

I have both AMEX personal and business gold. I started doing AP a few months ago (A>B, B>A) and spreading the charges between the two cards. I noticed I was sometimes getting 3X points on personal and 2X points on business. On business card, I noticed they were listing this as a shipping expense thus 2x points, not sure why I was getting 3x on personal.
Well, now since Jan 1st, I am back to 1x points on both cards. The business card now lists this as a general shopping expense versus a shipping expense.

Anyone else noticed this? or know what excatly is going on?:(

Good point

Those folk should buy a GC from Amex through Bigcrumbs and link the GC to AP. For those that need a guide for this check out my post on using it for giving loans, same principle but you cash out to yourself instead. Post Link

Get cashback on the purchase and cash it out over 3 months (if they need to meet the full 3K).

Can a person RECEIVE two payments of $1000 from different people (in same month) and have no problem?

I sent $1000 to my mother in law and she is going to withdraw it and give me the money back.

Can my wife do the same to her mother (my mother in law obviously)? Can my mother in law withdraw my $1000 and her daughter's (different last name) $1000 with no fees?

Thanks for helping!!

Sounds risky to me. Perhaps would be safer if either you or your wife sends $1000 to me to keep it clear of the cardinals.

Negative... It's $1000 in and $1000 out total... Of course that is unless you have multiple accounts... but who would do that??

Has anyone had issues with Account verification when signing up for AP? There "account specialist" are only available via email and very vague on what the problem is. I tried two different addresses with the same problem.

bank account address (on the AP acccount) must match address you are placing on the AP account.

is this your possible issue?
